ABOUT YOUR TEAM:
The Research department undertakes research and analysis to add to the frontier of knowledge and to inform monetary policy. The department produces and publishes relevant, timely and innovative research and prepares briefings to support the Bank President's participation at FOMC meetings.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas invites applications for PhD Dissertation Fellow positions for the summer of 2026. This program provides an excellent opportunity for PhD students in economics to engage in high-quality research and gain valuable exposure to scholarly work conducted at the Dallas Fed. Fellows will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Bank's research economists, visiting scholars, and other dissertation fellows, fostering a rich academic and research environment.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Open to PhD students from all PhD-granting institutions (both domestic and international).
Applicants must have passed their qualifying exams and reached the dissertation stage of their program.
Preference will be given to students expecting to complete their PhD in 2027.
The program will be held in-person in Dallas, lasting from 4 to 12 weeks, during summer 2026
Fellows are expected to deliver a formal presentation at the Dallas Fed's brownbag seminar series during the last two weeks of their fellowship.

UTD Wind is home to a site of WindSTAR, an NSF Industry/University Cooperative Research Center for use-inspired R&D to advance wind energy science & technology. Position Information
This Postdoctoral Research Associate position will play an active role in research, including working on data, presentations, publications, project/program conceptualization and development, grant proposal development, and other related activities. This position will focus on community-based intervention studies and/or longitudinal cohort studies across the lifespan, with particular attention to health equity and health disparities.
Responsibilities:
Plays an active role in research, including working on data, presentations, publications, project/program conceptualization and development, grant proposal development, and other related activities.
Works on various projects, particularly projects addressing food and nutrition insecurity, as well as maternal and early childhood nutrition.
Leads and collaborates on manuscript preparation from relevant studies (e.g., data analysis, writing, and submission)

Develops and writes grant proposals to funding agencies.
Customized professional development and training opportunities geared toward preparation for a faculty career will be provided.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Obtain 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or resiliency, with demonstrated exceptional organizational skills to plan, design, and coordinate the development of offensive security testing, assessments, or simulation exercises
* Track record of discovered vulnerabilities (CVEs) in high-profile targets in at least one of the following environments: operating systems, mobile devices, web applications, browsers.
* Proven hands-on experience in vulnerability research and PoC/exploit development, reporting, and mitigating security vulnerabilities in open-source projects.
* Expertise in advanced analysis frameworks leveraging symbolic execution techniques and dynamic binary instrumentation to uncover, triage, and exploit complex software vulnerabilities.
* Hands-on proficiency exploiting complex vulnerability classes - including user-after-free, double free, type confusion - and applying advanced exploitation techniques such as heap spraying and controlled memory corruption to achieve reliable code execution.
* Strong understanding of at least two operating systems internals throughout user mode and kernel mode (Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, Android, MacOS, or iOS).
* Experience auditing large C/C++, Java, and .Net codebases combining automated static analyzers with manual review to trace data and control flow, uncover memory-safety, injection, and deserialization vulnerabilities and produce proof-of-concept code.

The IES Research Institute is an academic research division embedded within the Emergency Medicine Department at John Peter Smith (JPS) Health Network, a public safety-net health system with a 3-year emergency medicine residency program. The goal of the Institute is to develop and support scholarly activity, research, and grants to improve health outcomes and healthcare delivery for vulnerable emergency medicine populations through discovery and innovation. We use a team science approach and prioritize research that informs practice. We are a growing group supporting 15 core faculty members, a 3-year residency program with 45 residents, and fellowships in administration, academics, emergency ultrasonography, and street medicine, among others.
