The Cruchaga lab at WashU Medicine is recruiting multiple Postdoctoral Research Associates. The Cruchaga lab generates and analyzes high-throughput multi-omic data to study neurodegeneration and diseases of the central nervous system with emphasis on Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other dementias. The ultimate goal of the lab is to understand the biology of these diseases, to define novel biomarkers, and to identify novel therapeutical targets. We have pioneered in the integration of genetics with omic data to identify proteomic signatures and develop novel predictive models for Alzheimer's, Parkinson, and Dystonia as well as to identify novel proteins and pathways implicated on disease pathogenesis. We are currently analyzing brain, CSF and blood, multi-omic data (transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics), from a large collection of well-characterized samples to identify novel biomarker and causal and druggable targets. We are seeking a motivated researcher with strong analytical skills to join our effort and generate novel insights of neurodegeneration with this unique dataset, while working in a highly dynamic multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Strategic Advancement Operations, the Senior Associate Director for Prospect Management and Research will execute a strategic vision for research and moves management of Morehouse College's most promising prospects for significant financial support. This position will establish efforts vital to Morehouse's campaign, including a comprehensive prospect management system, innovative research infrastructure and robust prospect discovery program. The Senior Associate Director, Prospect Management and Research ( PMR ) will be responsible for providing in-depth research to inform board, volunteer, and campaign committee leadership decisions. Based upon comprehensive research this individual will help drive mutually agreed upon cultivation and solicitation strategies for campaign donors and prospects. Research Scientist I Department: Research and Conservation Classification: Exempt Direct Report: Senior Director, Research & Conservation The Research Scientist will develop and lead elasmobranch research and conservation initiatives for the Aquarium's IUCN Center for Species Survival (CSS) with a focus on sand tiger sharks, zebra sharks, and bowmouth guitarfish. We seek an established researcher with the ability to develop and manage a multi-investigator research program that adheres to the research priorities of the aquarium and regularly publish results in peer-reviewed journals. This position also serves as an institutional resource for content and communications to advance appropriate science messages through the aquarium's many outreach channels. Conduct high caliber research (field-based and aquarium-based) that advance species and ecosystem conservation with a focus on elasmobranchs.
