JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position reports to the Team Lead or Lab Manager. While working closely with the ARL leadership team and under the supervision of the director, you will be responsible for the following primary duties and responsibilities:
Read and interpret microbiological results by established in-house and USP methods.
Maintain instrumentation.
Pass all required proficiency tests.
Closely monitor retesting and timely reporting of results on a daily basis.
Ensure all results are reported on time, every time.

Summary
The Research Associate I assumes the responsibility of performing basic, biological, behavioral, social science or public health research within the specified research program. The Zhu Lab in the Department of Immunology studies the interactions between the tumor vasculature and the immune system. We investigate how the vessels organize the tumor microenvironment to shield cancer cells from immune surveillance. Our focus is on understanding how specialized blood and lymphatic endothelial cells orchestrate immune cell activation and deployment to regulate tumor development. We want to leverage these mechanistic insights to design vessel-directed interventions to reinvigorate antitumor immunity and enhance immunotherapies.
