Scott Rudolph owned 16.7 percent of the common stock and Arthur Rudolph owned three percent in December 1998.
In 1999 NBTY joined Phar-More Inc., a deep-discount drug chain, in selling vitamins and other nutritional supplements over the Internet on a page linked to Phar-More's web site.
The figure is expected to increase to $16.6 billion in 2003, Numico has said.
