1958

In 1958, the Nicholson family simply needed extra cash to provide for their families, and decided to perform accurate inventory service for grocers as a part time job.

In 1958 Thomas J. Nicholson started providing Retail Grocery Inventory Service with his sons Bill and Ray.

1960

1960'sNew offices open in Illinois, Florida, Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri, Indiana, Louisiana and Minnesota.

1970

1970'sRGIS invests in new technologies, introducing the SCM electronic calculator and the custom-designed TJN calculator.

1980

1980'sRGIS launches the Audit® microcomputer – proprietary technology.

1990

1990'sGlobal reach increases with offices in Mexico, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Israel and Brazil.

2000

2000'sOffices open in ten more countries.

2004

Omnicare was using the in house and multiple third party inventory method,across the regions.In 2004 it started looking for an inventory solution that would swap a mixture of in-house and numerous third-party inventory services it was using at the time.

2010

Bruce Barkus, in March 2010, was named CEO of RGIS, LLC. Now a days RGIS is providing different services e.g. inventories, audit, store mapping, supply chains, merchandising, remodels, staffing solution, and optimization.

2010'sAdvances in wireless technology and software make real-time reporting possible.
