Support development and maintenance of functional and logical airplane and system architecture. Guide item design and implementation, ensuring traceability to higher-level requirements. Plan and execute verification and validation activities across the V-model (item verification, system integration & verification, aircraft-level verification). Support safety analyses (SSA, FMEA/FMES) and ensure compliance with applicable aerospace/defense regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, ARP4761). Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams during design and testing phases. Provide documentation and support for certification authorities (FAA/EASA). Participate in technical design reviews, audits, and interchange meetings. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related technical field. 5+ years of experience in the systems engineering lifecycle within aerospace, automotive, or complex system domains. Hands-on experience with V-Model processes (requirements, design, implementation, verification, validation). Knowledge of safety assessments (FHA, PSSA, SSA, CMA, FMEA/FMES). Familiarity with certification frameworks (ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO-178C, DO-254). Strong analytical skills, clear technical writing, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS). System modeling (SysML/UML, Cameo, or equivalent).
