Position Summary
We are seeking a Construction Cost Analyst to become a part of their team. This role is critical in ensuring that our projects are financially sound from concept to completion. This position oversees cost control, financial analysis, and pricing strategy across all new builds. The ideal candidate would demonstrate strong communication skills, have the ability to deliver financial insights to drive accuracy, efficiency and profitability through every phase of the estimating and building process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform detailed material takeoffs, labor calculations and trade partner (sub contractor) bid analytics
Develop and maintain unit-pricing databases for materials, labor and trade partners
Collaborate with project managers, decorators, and trade partners to identify and enhance project value through strategic cost analysis
Analyze trade partner bids and negotiate competitive pricing and contract terms without compromising quality
Cost Control and Financial Analysis
Monitor actual cost against budgets throughout all project phases, identifying and clearly documenting any variance and their root cause
Maintain comprehensive historical cost data and benchmarking reports to enhance pricing accuracy and improve future forecasting and pricing accuracy
Deliver data driven insights to leadership regarding margins, cost trends and vendor performance to support strategic decision making
Process and Reporting
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance estimating accuracy and workflow efficiency
Prepare accurate, timely reports on project costs, financial performance and budget status
Qualifications and Skills
Required Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or relevant construction background.
Demonstrate a track record of proficiency with estimating and project management CRM
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks
Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and cost structures
Strong Attention To Detail to ensure precise takeoffs, accurate cost inputs and reliable pricing models
Effective Communication Skills both written and verbal
Strong Negotiation Skills for analyzing bids and securing competitive pricing

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. * Monitor compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external regulatory standards.

Education & Experience
* Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other quantitative field, or minimum of 15 years of progressive financial accounting/analyst experience.
* Preferred:
* CPA certification
* Minimum of 3 years of public accounting audit experience, or
* Minimum of 5 years in private accounting/finance/operations analysis, preferably in a healthcare setting.
