He has worked in the military, government intelligence, consulting, as well as the financial and insurance industries. He has over nine years as a CISO, with five of those years at a Fortune 100 financial services company where his work earned the 2006 ISSA Excellence in the Field of Security Practices award. In 2007 Jack was selected as a finalist for the Information Security Executive of the Year, Central United States, he was also selected as a 2012 CSO Compass Award winner for advancing risk management within the profession. Jack is a regular speaker for national conferences, and has contributed to various publications. As the originator of Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR), Jack is the foremost authority on its real-world application.
