We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in managing high-volume accounts payable operations and full-cycle accounting processes. The position requires strong leadership skills and proficiency in financial systems to ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities: - Oversee and manage high-volume accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Handle 1099 reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Manage travel and expense (T& E) processes, maintaining effective controls and documentation. - Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries. - Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records. - Prepare and review financial statements, supporting audits and ensuring compliance. - Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. - Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve accounting operations. - Utilize Workday and other financial systems effectively to support accounting activities. - Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable management and full-cycle accounting. - Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance. - Familiarity with 1099 reporting and compliance requirements. - Expertise in preparing financial statements and supporting audits. - Proficiency in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies. - Skilled in journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records. - Experience with financial systems, particularly Workday, is highly preferred. - Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to manage teams and processes effectively.
