A dynamic gaming company in Hollywood is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Director of Finance with a broad range of accounting functions. This is a fully remote opportunity, with a preference for candidates local to the Hollywood area. The position will begin as a 3-month contract with the potential to transition to contract-to-hire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to determine monthly revenue and associated cost recognition.
- Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements.
- Process journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
- Perform ongoing account reconciliation, including T& E and vendor payments.
- Maintain the vendor database and ensure proper documentation (W-9s, 1099s, etc.); manage reimbursement processes.
- Review accounts receivable and accounts payable batches for posting.
- Provide administrative support for both internal and external audits.
- Analyze and enhance accounting procedures to ensure scalability and compliance.
- Uphold confidentiality and exercise due diligence in protecting financial data and integrity.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth environment.
- Public accounting and/or public company experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting, revenue recognition, and GAAP.
- Experience with freelance contractor management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Compensation and Details:
- Contract duration: 3 months to start, with potential for extension or contract-to-hire.
- Salary range (upon conversion to full-time): $85k - $95k, depending on experience.
- Remote role with standard PST working hours required.

- Supervise accounting staff and operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and student accounts.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of annual financial audits, including support for student financial aid audits.
- Monitor compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings in collaboration with tax advisors.
- Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for improving controls and protecting institutional assets.
- Manage cash flow, investments, foreign exchange transactions, and overall treasury activities.
- Collaborate with Institutional Advancement to streamline operations, including fund reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Conduct additional accounting tasks such as financial modeling, asset management, and indirect cost calculations.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing restricted funds and optimizing budgetary resources.

As part of Protiviti 's ADC team, our delivery center staff will collaborate and accomplish tasks for the project assigned to them in support of Protiviti's Solution offerings - Technology, Risk and Compliance, Internal Audit & Financial Advisory, and Business Performance Improvement. The site capabilities may include research, development, maintenance, testing, validation, reporting, and other activities based on client needs.

Our Hybrid Workplace
Protiviti employees work in a hybrid environment which means you will be required to work from the Americas Delivery Center in our Blue Ash, OH location and/or from a remote location such as your residence. Dependent on the engagement or project parameters, you may be required to work onsite at the ADC up to 100% of the time. Generally, it is expected that you will be available to be physically present at the required work location and that you will have access to reliable transportation.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.
$60,000.00 - $74,000.00
