The story began in 1973 when Airtech International Incorporated was formed in San Bernardino, California by Mr.
Airtech Advanced Materials Group, a family-owned and operated company since 1973, manufactures and supplies vacuum bagging and composite tooling materials, according to the release issued by the state.
Soon after they moved to a small building in Torrance, CA. By 1977, Airtech grew to a 10 person company with sales throughout North America, Western Europe, and Japan.
In 1991, Airtech Europe opened its facility in Differdange, Luxembourg.
The aerospace industry in Tennessee has generated $88 million in investment and 695 new jobs since 2011.
Production at the manufacturing facility is anticipated to begin in 2015.
