RESPONSIBILITIES
SWCC are extensively trained to execute high-risk warfare and reconnaissance missions in river and coastline settings. As a member of this tightly-knit community, you may:
Insert and extract SEALs and other Special Operations personnel from a variety of Naval Surface Warfare vessels
Collect important data about enemy military installations and shipping traffic in coastal areas
Assist other military and civilian law enforcement agencies
Operate and maintain ordnance systems, communications, electronics, small boats and other equipment associated with SWCC and other special operations missions
Perform direct action raids against enemy shipping and waterborne traffic
Provide rapid mobility in shallow water areas where larger ships cannot operate

WORK ENVIRONMENT
SWCC operators may be deployed anywhere in the world and operate day or night in cold weather, desert, tropical or jungle environments. Many operations will take place along river or coastline settings. Though much of your time will be spent training or in the field on missions, you may work in an office on administration duties from time to time.
TRAINING AND ADVANCEMENT
As a SWCC operator, you will undergo some of the most demanding physical and mental training in the world. While qualifying for SWCC in the Delayed Entry Program is preferred, you may also volunteer any time during your enlistment after completing boot camp and prior to your 31st birthday.
While at the 10-week Recruit Training Command (RTC), also known as Boot Camp, you will take part in a rigorous physical examination and medical screening. Upon review of your entrance medical examinations, further physical screening tests will be given at RTC. Following completion of boot camp, you will begin specialized training, including:
Naval Special Warfare Orientation(7 weeks) in Coronado, CA, for physical and psychological preparation for SWCC Assessment and Selection.

Be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance
SWCCs should possess an aptitude for mechanical skills, study habits, arithmetic and basic algebra, and have good use of your hands.
You should be in excellent physical condition and motivated to endure rigorous physiological demands. Strong swimming skills and the ability to withstand fatigue is essential. SWCCs must be able to work under stressful and hazardous conditions. Important personal traits also include self-assurance and self-confidence, and the willingness to follow orders.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
A. Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

B. Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.

Monitors and responds to fire alarms, and checks fire extinguishers
Contributes to overall safety and security of students and employees by maintaining a uniformed presence and requesting police assistance when needed
Gives directions, renders assistance, and provides information as requested
Renders motorist services in the form of jump-starts, assisting in tire changes, and the calling of wreckers as requested
Responds to incidents requiring documentation after hours, including but not limited to: stuck elevators, minor medical calls, maintenance emergencies, and fire alarms
Provides walking escorts for any person who requests one from building to building, or to and from parking lots
Responds to low risk calls for service to assess scene and determine the need for police, fire, or EMS response
Responds to maintenance emergencies (plumbing, power outage, etc.) after hours to document incident and protect university property until Plant Operations responds
Locks/unlocks doors as needed on a regular schedule, and as requested by community members
Works fixed-post positions or reception desks to provide security for buildings, and special events, as needed

Enforces city and university regulations of a non-law enforcement nature (parking, smoking, etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Job Summary
Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Part-Time Federal Work Study Student Assistant to help in the Department of Nursing on the Macon Campus.
Responsibilities
* Assist with daily operations of running the office (answering phones, filing, making copies, distributing mail, assisting walk-ins, manning front desk, etc.)
* Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and community members.
* Direct and/or answer general questions regarding the nursing department.
* Organize and replenish daily front-desk forms, pamphlets and bulletins.
* Distribute mail to faculty/staff mailboxes.
* Participate in special events as needed.
* Assist Chair, Faculty and Administrative Assistance with special projects.
Required Qualifications
* Must be currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
* Must have GPA of at least 2.0.
* Must be awarded Federal Work Study.
* Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
* Knowledge and customer service principles and practices.
* Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs.
* Oral and communication skills.
* Must be highly organized, disciplined, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and flexible.

JOB SUMMARY

MAJOR DUTIES
Teach accounting classes and demonstrate subject-matter expertise and instructional competence.

Master's degree in Accounting or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., student evaluations, peer reviews, teaching awards)
Relevant industry or business experience in the field of Accounting.
