Laura has previous experience in public relations and writing, including working at the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston and as a staff writer for a local magazine. She draws on years of experience serving the Houston community in numerous volunteer leadership and organizational roles. Laura currently serves on the boards of Greater Houston Partnership, Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, and the advisory council of the Houston Arts Alliance. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the GHP's UpSkill Houston workforce initiative which is focused on closing the "middle skill" careers gap in Houston.
