*Responsibilities:*
· Manage a personal injury caseload including but not limited to auto accidents, dog bites, slip and fall, wrongful death, and other negligence-based claims
· Conduct initial client consultations and case evaluations
· Review and summarize case records including but not limited to insurance policies and records, medical and billing records, and police reports
· Draft and proof read legal correspondence and demand letters
· Draft and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
· Prepare to take and defend depositions, including expert and lay witnesses
· Represent clients in mediation and court proceedings including trial
· Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the legal process
· Collaborate with support staff to efficiently move cases forward

· Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
· Admitted to practice law in North Dakota

Position Overview

Qualifications
A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or equivalent as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Respiratory Therapists must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. Cass County is seeking a full time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in the Cass County Jail. Hours for this position include days, evenings, and weekends.
Beginning January 2025, we are seeking to expand nursing coverage hours at the jail and are specifically looking to fill two positions with fixed hours of 2:00 PM to midnight, working four consecutive days starting on either Sunday or Wednesday. Availability to work one of these primary schedules is specific to these two vacancies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work closely with correctional staff to provide continuity of care for patients
Contact practitioner to obtain orders
Administer prescribed medications, treatments and other tasks as ordered by the practitioner
Provide emergency first aid care, when appropriate
Check and record vital signs, blood glucose checks, weight, and other diagnostic tests on-site, when appropriate
Triage officer intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call
Report reactions to treatments and medications, as well as changes in the patients emotional or physical condition
Assist in education on topics such as correctional facilities policies and discharge planning
Record care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
Collaborate and coordinate multiple medical services for diagnosis and treatment, as directed by the practitioner
Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control precautions as required
Maintain and demonstrate working knowledge of pharmacology, including drug reaction/overdose
Maintain and demonstrate working knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition
Maintain and demonstrate working knowledge of social and behavioral sciences, particularly as applied to the correctional setting
Recommend improved procedures, equipment, and supplies to your supervisor
Notify supervisor of medical or security incidents
Present/participate in education sessions
Perform duties within the scope of practice mandated by state and local standards
Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices as required by government agencies
May be asked to train new hires and coworkers
Any and all other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Active North Dakota LPN license, in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Excellent documentation skills
Knowledge of the LPN scope of practice
