**Prepare products and materials for the galvanizing process by hanging on spreader bars**
**Stage tubular products**
**Prepare small parts for galvanizing**
**Hand wire small to medium-sized parts to racks for pickling or galvanizing**
**Pull and place chains and ropes around steel bundles for racking**
**-Work in the kettle area**
**Perform paddling functions to enhance the quality level of the galvanized products**
**Use air guns to blow off zinc needles**
**Use air or electric powered tools to help prepare steel for pickling or galvanizing**
**Use hand-held remote control for kettle hoists**
**Work safely, protecting self and others from accident and injury**
**-Work in the finishing department**
**Move lightweight pieces of steel by hand from different locations in the plant and yard**
**Assist in general plant clean up and housekeeping**

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Sort material properly and timely for shipment preparation.
Assist Supervisors with accurate, complete, legible, and timely completion of paperwork, tally sheets, production tickets, and/or reports.
Manually unload materials from customer vehicles.
Assists in cleaning customer baskets, bins, open-top trailers as needed.
Maintain clean and organized work area.
Assist Supervisor in sweeping, cleaning and maintaining a clean facility inside and outside.
Performing other duties as assigned by direct supervisor or department manager.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand;kneel; squat; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; Must be able to push, pull or carry up to thirty pounds. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Must be able to utilize hand tools and operator controls.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time (40 hours per week) position, Monday through Friday in the hours of 7:30am to 4:30pm. Overtime hours during the week as needed. Weekend work on an as needed basis.

Pull and place chains and ropes around steel bundles for racking

Perform paddling functions to enhance the quality level of the various galvanized products using air guns to blow off zinc needles
Use air or electric powered tools to help prepare or clean up steel for pickling or galvanizing

General Laborer Requirements:
Identify the sort numbers for the carts you are responsible for. Pull boards into the correct carts according to the sort numbers on the boards.
Pile the boards with the following criteria:Top, bottom and outside boards will be the longest
All edges will be free of knots, wane, writing and other defects
Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart
Build each bundle until full and finish off with a nice top layer
Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove
General Laborer Education & Experience:
Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred
Previous experience as an entry level worker is preferred
Previous experience working on a farm is a plus!
High School degree preferred, but not required

FUNCTION: Assists in various maintenance/repair tasks around feedlot. Performs the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
