1967 SCHAVEMAKER OPENS DOORSHenk Schavemaker uses a second-hand Volvo 385 to start his transport company in his home town of Assendelft, and mainly transports wood and steel.
1990 OPENING SCHAVEMAKER LOGISTICSA 3-hectare site is purchased in Velsen-Noord to build transshipment halls with overhead cranes, primarily for handling heavy steel.
1993 OPENING SCHAVEMAKER TRANSPORT BREDATakeover of Rotterdam-based Kleinjan Transport (10 combinations) and Breda-based Marvo Transport (40 combinations). Marvo eventually results in Schavemaker Transport Breda.
