Job Summary:
The Idaho Digital Learning Academy, a statewide virtual school, has openings for part-time Online Instructors. These part-time positions are remote and can be located anywhere in the state of Idaho.
The Online Instructor is responsible for providing an online environment that fosters the intellectual, emotional, motivational, and psychological aspects of online students. Online Instructors monitor and demonstrate a presence within the online course by posting announcements, moderating class discussions, and providing feedback on student work. Student contact, as well as communication with local school support, is a vital function
of an Online Instructor and is imperative for the success of the online student.
Job Responsibilities:
Deliver and manage online instruction through the Learning Management System.
Communicate consistently with students via discussion boards, email, phone, and video/web conferencing.
Collaborate with parents, local school staff, IDLA support teams, and administration.
Grade assignments, provide timely feedback, and submit required progress reports and final grades according to the IDLA calendar.
Support students through interventions and instructional assistance as needed.
Create instructional modifications required by IEPs or 504 plans.
Revise online course content as directed and maintain a visible instructional presence in all courses.
Resolve student concerns in partnership with parents, school personnel, and IDLA administration.
Uphold IDLA policies, including Acceptable Use and the Idaho Code of Ethics for Professional Educators.
Ensure compliance with copyright and fair-use guidelines.
Address discipline-related matters such as plagiarism, acceptable use violations, and due process requirements.
Represent IDLA professionally and communicate program information to the community.
Participate in required professional development, including trainings, online courses, and conferences.
Maintain strong organizational and time-management practices to meet deadlines and instructional obligations.
Be reasonably available at times convenient for students.
Participate in regular instructional observations conducted by the online principal.
Minimum Qualifications:
Idaho resident (preference for in-state candidates; out-of-state applicants may apply).
Bachelor's degree in Education or related content area.
Current Idaho Secondary Teaching Certificate (state-issued preferred; interim certificates accepted).
Endorsement in the subject area taught.
Classroom or online teaching experience.

Essential Duties:
* Instruct students in various Art History courses. Create or if available, follow syllabi, course materials, and assignments to support course learning outcomes as defined by the Art Department and the State of Ohio
* Ensure that students achieve course learning outcomes as defined in the syllabus
* Maintain electronic records (using Blackboard) of student performance, progress, and attendance
* Complete, as directed, all start and end-of-semester responsibilities, including submission of no-show rosters and final grades
Minimum Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Arts or Fine Arts or related master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Art
* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Three years of teaching or industry experience

AFIT/LS is the Air Force's Sole provider of Professional Continuing Education (PCE) courses in the areas of Acquisition, Logistics, and Software Engineering. With more than 100 courses and seminars, the school plans, develops, and conducts courses and programs to satisfy the technical management educational needs of Logistics, Systems, and Acquisition Customers from the Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Agencies. More than 20,000 students receive education from AFIT/LS each Year.
The school currently offers Air Force courses ranging in length from two days to five weeks in the disciplines of Acquisition Management, Engineering Management, and Sustainment. It is also the leader in web-based education for the Acquisition and Logistics Workforce, providing the tools, skills, and abilities to manage the entire spectrum of a systems life cycle.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below
Assist in the development and administer Professional Continuing Education (PCE) developed to educate/train Joint service active duty, Reservist, and National Guard, Officers, Enlisted, and Civilians on tactical, strategic, and operational levels of AF/DoD Digital Acquisitions.
Interact with various course Sponsors, Subject Matter Experts, and Instructional Systems Designers to determine education needs to develop, maintain, and instruct course content appropriately. All curriculums are approved by the course leadership and designed to facilitate understanding and engagement in accordance with curriculum standards.
Coordinate course offerings, document courses in accordance with Air Force and AFIT Policies and conduct Post-Offering Assessments.
Instruct students across multiple approved educational platforms and settings to include traditional In Residence/On-Site classrooms and Distance Learning (DL) services.
Available to travel and instruct at different locations, both CONUS and OCONUS as mission requires and approved by the Government.
Participate in consultation efforts, and attend or participate in Workshops, Conferences, Technical Interchanges, or similar venues as approved by the Government on a case-by-case basis.
Assist faculty and staff with Graduate-Level Research, including Literature Reviews, Data Collection, Technical Writing, Instruction, and other duties as required.
Requirements

Ten years of experience in engineering or related technical discipline, with at least three (3) years of applied systems engineering
