Marked my 25th anniversary in the offshore industry by being part of the team executing the Topseis dual vessel acquisition technique in the Barents Sea for Lundin, targeting zero offset seismic data. Experienced in multi-vessel and multi-streamer seismic acquisition and ocean bottom node surveys as senior surveyor/chief nav, also acted as Party Chief. Worked in 2D, 3D, 4D, Undershoot, OBN and WAZ/multi-vessel operations. During my time with emgs we conducted Node surveys in Barents Sea; offshore Newfoundland; |3000m depth in Med offshore Libya; and also the shallow Danish sector of the North Sea which was operationally challenging but achievable for our HiPaP USBL acoustic and transponders.Several trips as Party Chief on Geo Barents including 3 week drydocking during which zero injuries occurred. Also worked as Assistant PC on Seisquest for Total on the Pistolet 3D project with 26 platforms and 2 shipping lanes, positive feedback received from client for personal performance during difficult survey with multiple close passes in a busy field and a crew inexperienced in close passes towing 6kms.Helped de-rig 6 CGG vessels then re-rig Coral 18 months later. Chief Navigator on master vessel during bi-azimuthal multi-vessel BWATS project for Total E&P Angola in 2013/14 acquiring super-shot gather lines. More than 3 yrs offshore East Africa on Barents and Coral, working in the East African Coastal Current with 4kt current encountered, and during the boarding of the vessel in a piracy attack.Numerous seismic undershoots, also the recent North Sea 4D projects for Statoil and BP. Experienced in USBL acoustic positioning of deep towed electro-magnetic energy source and ocean bottom nodes during surveys using Gator software, also used the emgs containerised equipment onboard Seim Sasha.Areas of operation include: North Sea (including Dogger Bank) Barents Sea, Brazil, West Africa, South Africa, East Africa, Persian Gulf, Bay of Bengal, east coast India, South China Sea, Indonesia, Gulf of Mexico, Newfoundland Grand Banks and the Mediterranean Sea.
