In 1962, Security Trust Co. merged with the National Bank of West Virginia to form the Security National Bank & Trust Co., opening at the 1114-1116 Market Street location.
In 1972, the Monmouth Savings and Loan Association and the Stronghurst Building and Loan Association merged with a new name, Security Savings and Loan Association.
In 1973, Security Savings began a program of adding new financial services to its traditional role of providing mortgage lending and deposit services.
Security State Bank opened its drive-up facility in 1975.
In 1982, the bank opened their mall facility.
Opened second branch office in the Edisto Building in Denmark, South Carolina and relocated to the East Baruch street location in September 1984.
Security Bank was publicly-listed with the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE: SECB) in 1995.
During a Founders’ Walk ceremony in 1997, Bemidji State University honored three generations (Homer C. and Isabelle S. Baer, H.C. "Bill" and Jessie Baer, John Baer, and Carl Baer) of the Baer family for their commitment to the University and to the community.
In 1999, Security State Bank changed the bank name to Security BankUSA. Along with the name change, came a new logo.
On June 18, 2001, SBC celebrated 50 years of banking in the Philippines, as it continued to live a tradition of banking excellence.
2007 saw the 12,000 square foot expansion of the main bank.
That’s one reason the United States Treasury awarded us national recognition and certification as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in September 2010.
In 2013 Security BankUSA purchased Insurance Service North in Blackduck from Jim Wolden and added Security InsuranceUSA to the team.
In 2014, Security Bank embarked on a rebranding campaign to further strengthen market appreciation of its retail banking business, which complements its wholesale banking business.
In 2014 John Baer retired.
In February 2015, the bank launched the Bancassurance product in partnership with FWD Life, adding to the robustness of its financial services offering.
On January 14, 2016, Security Bank entered into a strategic partnership with MUFG Bank.
2017 brought the completion of the Insurance department at the main bank to have two full service locations for our customers, Blackduck and Bemidji.
