Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports and all relevant reports related to job assignment. Make recommendations to management on better safety and loss prevention processes as identified during daily routine. Have knowledge of any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computer, and other such equipment to complete job assignments. Ensure continuous and safe operation of all elevators and access doors. Know authorized contractor personnel who are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other agencies regulating the customer / market. Communicate on a daily basis with Security Supervisor any new Security Issues or changes that need to be considered or implemented. Skills and Abilities: A security officer is to be honest, alert and well-disciplined as the custodians of employee and customer property and safety. Constant and dedicated vigilance. The selected Part-Time Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) will have responsibility for the following areas: Analyze moderate problems and provide focused solutions with the ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences. Bring security risks to the attention of the senior management and PM's as identified. Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements. Make critical security decisions concerning high value contracts and to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information. Provide clear guidance to company employees and recommend modifications to operations policies or procedures as appropriate. Management of COMSEC related duties and responsibilities under NSA CSS 3-16 and AR 380-40. Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc. Assist in executing the requirements set forth in the Technology Control Plan (TCP) for foreign visitors. Perform other duties, as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS. Eight (8) + years of prior relevant experience. Four (4) + years of experience supervising and leading teams/projects. Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards. Ability to interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations. Strong understanding of Physical Security requirements to include collateral Closed Areas and SCIFs. Along with working knowledge of SF-86, SF-312, DD-254, SF700, SF702 and other required forms. Check out our Part Time Benefits here Position Summary:The Part time Public Safety Service Officer is responsible for ensuring the public safety of the College community, including buildings and property. The Part time Public Safety Service Officer is a non-sworn/non-certified position. The Part time Public Safety Service Officer responds to emergency situations throughout campus, such as medical emergencies, fires, disturbances, criminal activity and any other calls for service that involve the public safety of the campus and persons on campus.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Respond to calls for service regarding public safety.• Patrol College property on foot, bicycle, or motor vehicle according to procedures issued by the Public Safety Department.• Turn off and on all campus alarm systems, monitor alarm activity, respond to alarm activations and take appropriate action.• Assist with general office duties.• Make initial written reports on all reported incidents. Maintain a daily log.• Lock/unlock all College buildings according to schedule. Patrol buildings and grounds.• Assist with the maintenance of assigned equipment.• Make deliveries of moneys and important materials to appropriate locations.• Check hazardous materials storage on campus. Respond and take appropriate action to any spills or hazardous material incidents.• Assist with traffic and parking control on campus. Issue parking violation and warning notices as appropriate and in accord with department procedures.• Assist with emergency building evacuation.• Guide irate and irrational persons who may be disruptive to the normal course of activities on campus and attempt to facilitate a peaceful solution to the problem.• Assist in rescue operations.• Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.• Other duties as assigned.Hours/Schedule: This position will work varying hours between 20-24 hours per week. Flexible scheduling around class and work schedules, whenever possible.This position is required to work holidays and all college closure days, regardless of weather Physical Demands:• Lift, pull, and use pushing motions in excess of 100 pounds.• Work in confined spaces, at heights and below ground.• Must wear a uniform.Work Environment:• Required to work in all weather conditions and to respond to emergency situations such as accidents, fires, gas leaks, and the like; exposure to personal injury risk.• Confined spaces, at heights and below ground. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• High School graduate or GED equivalent.• Minimum age of 18 at time of hire.• Possess/maintain certification in First Aid and CPR OR have the ability to obtain/maintain certification within 6 (six) months of employment.• Possess/maintain a valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.• Demonstrated ability to lift and position injured persons and render emergency aid.• Demonstrated ability to execute defensive maneuvers to protect self and others.• Demonstrated ability to move freely around campus.• Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of honesty and integrity.• Discreet with confidential information.• Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with students, staff, faculty, visitors and public safety agencies.
