A Safety & Security Guard is responsible for providing overnight protection for hotel guests, employees and property. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, Security Officer Level I is a uniform, unarmed position responsible for providing security services to a specific location/site. This position requires exceptional customer relations skills. Walden Security is currently offering a sign on bonus of $1000 paid after 90 days on the contract. They are recruiting experienced Court Security Officers. CSOs will provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned: Perform entrance control: Enforce the District's entry and identification system which includes operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items, checking items such as handbags, briefcases, computers, packages, baby carriages, wheelchairs, etc. Perform roving patrol: Patrol court facilities and grounds of the facility in accordance with applicable post orders. Perform stationary post assignments: Stand guard at stationary posts which include (but not limited to) monitoring closed-circuit television, duress alarm systems and other security equipment, courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms. Perform escort duties: When directed, provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals. Perform garage parking and pedestrian control: Where applicable, direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties, as described in the post orders and/or standard operating procedures. Enforce law and order: Enforce federal law while in the performance of assigned duties. This includes (but not limited to) detaining any person attempting to gain unauthorized access to Government property, or a court proceeding(s), or attempting to commit acts that imperil the safety and security of Government employees, property, and the public. Prepare reports and records: Prepare various reports and records regarding contract performance issues, such as labor hours worked, accidents, fire, bomb threats, unusual incidents, or unlawful acts that occurred within the court facility area. Court attendance: Responsible for securing unattended courtrooms, an inspection of courtrooms prior to a proceeding, testing of security devices, and other duties concerning security of the court area. Preserve order: Responsible for providing security presence in the courtroom, enforcing federal law and judicial orders within the courtroom, enforcing local court rules regarding prohibited items, and providing protection to court proceedings as circumstances dictate. Requirements Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency (Master-at-Arms, CGPD, Security Forces Specialist, etc.); all three (3) years must have occurred within the last seven (7) years. The experience must have included general arrest authority. Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess the ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years; Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice. Must have completed or graduated from certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy and able to provide certification as proof. Other Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age; Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Under the general direction of the Education Director, the Truancy Officer implements and enforces the Truancy Ordinance and attendance policies for the Education Department. Plans and implements attendance contracts/agreements with students and families. Researches and recommends for purchase supplies and materials to support school attendance measures for all San Felipe students. Track students who become truant. Complete home visits, file petitions with the Tribal Court for students truancy, follow up with civil penalties and plans to improve attendance with students and families. Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate school districts, Pueblo Department colleagues, and community members to ensure communication and follow through. Duties: Prepares reports for the Director and the Education/Interdepartmental Committees regarding attendance rates current and historical. Coordinates and communicates with associated public and local schools to identify students who are truant and seeks or creates plans for supporting these students. Monitors students who are in jeopardy of becoming habitually truant and follows through to support students success. Designs, develops, and implements attendance support services for the Education Department. Proposes, plans and implements attendance services and Attendance Achievement events, and resolves challenges to ensure school attendance and academic success for students. Proposes, plans and implements home visits, summer credit recovery, attendance achievement events/activities, and community-wide school attendance support. As appropriate, connects students (elementary, middle, and high school) to resources on their campus (i.e., tutoring, advising, financial aid, housing etc.) Designs, implements, and evaluates motivational speakers to consider events for helping students to think about what comes after high school. Serves as tribal liaison to educational institutions as relevant and assigned. As assigned, assist with grant application development that supports attendance support services and college and academic support services efforts. The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store.
