Security Technicians are responsible for Installation, maintenance, and service repairs for large construction, new construction, and remodeling projects. Main duties include: Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to install security equipment, including control panels, cameras, sensors, and access control hardware. Run and terminate low-voltage cables and wires through walls, ceilings, and other access points to connect system components. Install and mount security equipment, connect cables, and wire low-voltage circuits. Program security systems with keypad/software to set user access codes, configure alarm panels, and integrate various components of a security network. Maintenance/Repair: Troubleshoot and fix issues with new and existing systems, and diagnose hardware or software malfunctions. Required: Completed Electrical Apprenticeship for Low Voltage, or equivalent low voltage, data, fire alarm, Audio Visual, security installation cabling program through a Trade or Community college. Minimum of 1 Year of experience with the installation and programming of Security systems, VMS software. Low voltage knowledge and experience pulling and routing wires. Certifications: ESA or NICET preferred, not required. The ability to follow directions, climb a 6 foot ladder, and lift 50lbs repetitively, and stand the entire shift. All job offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR). Must have reliable transportation.
