Our Director of Engineering is responsible for communicating clearly and precisely with guests, management and co-workers to their fullest understanding. They provide timely feedback and a display of urgency with each request during the day. This will include having working knowledge of Outlook and, Nexus as communication tools, working well under pressure and in emergency situations, is a clear thinker and can resolve problems to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
Ensures NEXUS usage and optimization from all team members. Analyzes customer feedback and forms appropriate action plans. Participates in active guest recovery for missed expectations. Directs team members to strive for continuous improvement and excellence in all areas of responsibility.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising work performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Our Director of engineering must have the ability to develop a meaningful budget and monthly tracking of expenses program.
Sometimes our guests have special requests involving special television channels, temperatures set precisely a certain degree and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled through the direction of our Director of Engineering.
Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Director of Engineering is relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct.
Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Director of Engineering must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains.
