Ensure the treatment plan of the physician or Medical Director is being followed. Giving and interpreting Mantoux Testing. Makes appointments for clients to see physician, provides lab work and referrals for additional follow up care. Assists in training staff in medical and health and safety matters as well as assisting in properly maintaining medical equipment. Provide training for staff development specific to health care needs i.e., CPR, First Aid, Blood Pressure, etc. Purchasing and ordering of medical supplies. Educates clients about methadone maintenance and detoxification as well as side effects and provides education to clients on lab results and all medical matters. Educates pregnant patients about prenatal care and assists primary counselor in coordinating outside services as needed. Job Description We currently have 1 full-time night shift LPN/RN position open on our Chillicothe, Ohio campus. Hours will be from 8pm-8am, with rotating weekends $3/hour shift differential during the hours of 8pm-midnight $6/hour shift differential during the hours of midnight-8am Competitive Wage Scale! The nurse is responsible for coordination of all health and medical services provided to the individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities. The primary areas of responsibility for this individual include: knowledge of pertinent policies and procedures, overseeing the administration of medications and medical treatments per physician order, communication with team members, physicians, and others as needed, and assuring proper documentation of medications and treatments administered. The nurse will assist in direct training, follow up, and coaching of team members, keeping the Program Department informed at all times. Finally, s/he is responsible to assist the Program Director/Administrator in maintaining consistency in the provision of supports and services to the individuals and in communicating with all team members. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, current LPN or RN License, valid driver's license, personal liability insurance, and a good driving record.
