Positive, team-based work environment and clear numbers-based productivity goals.
An emphasis on flashy new office buildings and happy hours and team lunches for forced team bonding. Micromanagement was intense, but managers were green and inexperienced at developing new staff. Team selection seems random but it's possible to be placed on a foreign language speaking team when that is not your competent language which derailed my career growth.
Shamrock accommodated my disability and assigned work from home equipment to retain for my employment at no cost for days I could not be in the office.
The CEO and upper leadership team seem somewhat anonymous until they send an email reminding us the company is growing rapidly and they had us to thank. Day to day leadership of operational teams needs a massive overhaul.
Focus less on hiring a lot of recent graduates and see who is tough enough to stick it out and spend more care hiring smaller groups of candidates and placing them in teams that make sense for their long term growth. This will boost retention and results.
I consulted with a family friend who worked for Shamrock at the time, attended career fairs and networked with professionals and researched the company on my own time.
I found my compensation at Shamrock to be above industry average in regard to benefits, below standard in regard to base salary.
Representation was diverse and vast. The company is international and specifically hires from all backgrounds to provide services for many languages and regions of the world.
The most fulfilling part of work was having a long list of tasks and carving out free time to see how far ahead of my goals I could get to then have flexibility to work on time saving measures for the team.
