We are currently seeking a Chemical Handling Technician Trainee to join our GFS Chemicals Family at our Kaderly Drive location. Responsibilities: The incumbents will repack bulk material into smaller quantities for production orders. Prepare leaching solutions/mixtures according to a “prep” for bottling and prepare bottles for production use. They will ensure the finished goods material is passed by Quality Control before being repacked, and that bottles are passed by quality before being issued for production. Repackaged quantities will be entered into the ERP system once work is complete. Requirements: High School Diploma or an equivalent is required Respect for the chemicals they will be working with Ability to function in a team environment or working independently Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Safety conscience Detail-oriented and punctual Good housekeeping skills Adaptive learner, good retention Ability to read weights and measures Basic computer knowledge Proficient reading and writing skills Knowledge of hazard handling and waste disposal Arrive to work clean and change into clean company provided uniforms Must be able to pass pre-employment and random substance abuse screenings Additional Qualifications: The company will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this position.
