The Director, Global Safety will be based in Herndon, VA and will lead the company's global Safety program across data center construction and operations. The role defines the global safety strategy, develops and maintains policies and standards, and ensures compliance with regulatory and ISO 45001 requirements while driving continuous improvement through data, incident learning and strong stakeholder engagement.
The objective is to protect employees, contractors, visitors and assets, and to build a consistent safety culture across mission-critical facilities worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain global Safety policies, procedures and standards across construction, commissioning and operations.
Provide oversight and support to regional safety programs, ensuring consistent execution and alignment with global standards.
Conduct HSE audits and inspections across data center projects and operational sites to evaluate performance, ensure compliance and drive corrective actions to closure.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action programs; ensure learnings are shared and adopted across regions.
Develop and deliver global safety training and onboarding programs; monitor completion and effectiveness for employees, contractors and vendors.
Maintain safety reporting systems, logs and documentation, including regulatory filings (OSHA or international equivalents) and ISO 45001 documentation.
Monitor leading and lagging indicators, analyze safety performance trends and prepare safety reporting for regional and global leadership.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Construction and Procurement to embed safety requirements into project planning, design reviews and site execution.
Oversee contractor and vendor safety management, including onboarding, verification of certifications, work plans and field compliance checks.
Support emergency response planning, incident notifications and business continuity activities related to safety.
Promote HSE culture and initiatives through leadership visibility, communication and engagement across global sites.
Travel 25-50%, including international travel to provide on-site presence at project or operational locations when required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
10+ years of experience leading HSE programs across construction and/or operational environments; mission-critical or data center experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success implementing safety programs across multiple sites or regions, including contractor/vendor oversight.
Hands-on experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments and HSE audits, and driving corrective actions to closure.
Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH or NEBOSH preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead or transform safety programs across multiple sites or geographies.
Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret safety metrics and use data to guide decisions and improvement actions.
Advanced knowledge of OSHA and international/regional safety regulations; familiarity with ISO 45001, NFPA/ANSI and high-risk hazards common in mission-critical environments.

Position Overview
This position reports directly to the Safety Committee Lead and is integral to executing the vision for operational excellence, and continuous improvement in Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) management and operational processes.
We are seeking a Safety Committee Specialist with strong interest in and experience managing all aspects of DSMB management, The SCS must have documented experience in coordinating and moderating DSMB meetings and management of study documents and related processes. Prior experience in clinical research, Phases 1-IV is required. This role will play a critical part in both ensuring regulatory alignment and overseeing the coordination and logistics needed to support DSMB operations for 30 DSMBs within an electronic management system.

Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Compliance Execution
Assist in the implementation of DSMB-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Working Practice Guidelines in accordance with GCP, FDA, EMA, ICH, and NIH standards.
Maintain and manage accurate documentation for DSMB charters, rosters, COI forms, DSMB summaries/meeting minutes, and regulatory correspondence.
Support audits and quality checks related to DSMB activity and compliance status.
Coordination & Logistics Support
Lead or support meeting logistics, including agenda coordination, calendar invites, and material distribution for both open/blinded and closed/unblinded data reports
Track action items, meeting outcomes, and follow-up requests to ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate onboarding and conflict-of-interest (COI) documentation for DSMB members and serve as a key point of contact for meeting logistics.
Maintain detailed timelines, checklists, and communications to ensure seamless execution of DSMB operations.
Support management of DSMB payment processing and contract documentation tracking, where applicable. (This is not currently a function of the SCS role.
Operational Support
Maintain meticulous, system-driven records in the electronic DSMB management system (SharePoint and CROMS), ensuring traceability, version control, and real-time visibility of safety committee operations.
Prepare routine reports for internal and external stakeholders on DSMB progress, meeting schedules, member status, and compliance metrics.
Provide administrative support to ensure proper version control and document storage.
Identify risks and opportunities related to safety committee operations.
Work with the Safety Committee Lead to identify opportunities to reduce manual burden through automation and workflow optimization.
Translate strategic automation and efficiency goals into operational workflows, piloting improvements that reduce administrative burden and enhance accuracy.
Act as a tactical liaison between the Safety Committee Lead and study teams, ensuring that logistics and documentation directly support leadership priorities and regulatory timelines.

Machine Safety Specialist - Sales Engineer at Grantek will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Practice group. Job Summary:

Job Overview
The Safety Officer supports all the functions of a comprehensive environmental safety health and risk program; ensuring that the project is following all federal, state, and local safety regulations. The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) will prepare and enforce Chugach's safety program for maintenance operations support team of skilled and semi-skilled tradespeople at Naval Air Facility, El Centro, CA.
