This role involves working on projects throughout the Tampa Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) with occasional travel to the Orlando area. Responsibilities: * Perform field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, rebar, and masonry/mortar/grout to ensure compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project specifications. * Review blueprints to prepare for field observations on active construction sites. * Accurately document field activities, observations, and test results, noting conformance or deviations from project plans and specifications. * Utilize Metafield and other field/laboratory information management systems to record testing results. * Communicate field and laboratory results to Construction Services and Geotechnical Project Management teams, general contractors, and clients. * Calibrate field and laboratory equipment in accordance with industry codes and standards.
