They are open Monday from 6:30AM-6:30PM, Tuesday through Friday 6:30AM-5:30PM, and 6:30AM-12:00 noon on Saturdays. HOURS: POSITION SUMMARY: The Outpatient Assistant is responsible for providing quality patient care, reception, registration and order entry of patients and exams. The Outpatient Assistant is also responsible for blood drawing procedures. The Outpatient Assistant works with other healthcare members to provide a clean working environment. The Outpatient Assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to age groups according to specific chronological age, developmental age, and/or psycho-social maturity. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Coursework in medical terminology, blood drawing, and EKG preferred. Required length of experience: Computer and clerical skills are important to success in this role. Blood drawing experience preferred.
