Objective of the Job: This position is an industrial electrician responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment in the Cold Mill area of Big River Steel facility. Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and “where applicable” ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed.
2) Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical equipment, including PLCs, control circuits, communication systems, I/O field devices, and VFD drives/motors
3) Install or modify electrical equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and other specifications with minimal instruction after general assignment
4) Use Electrical Ingenuity and Work directly with all mechanics and operations personnel in a fast-paced environment to help develop a safety focused and productive Finishing Mill Team. Support maintenance teammates to help maintain a positive and efficient work environment focused on safety and reliability.

8) Experienced with mobile equipment. (Rough Terrain, Man Lift, Forklift Carry Deck or Broaderson)
9) Efficient in the Metric Measuring System a plus
10) Basic computer skills: MS Excel, Word, and Outlook is a plus
11) Read Electrical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
12) Knowledgeable of programming and troubleshooting logic to include ladder logic, function block programming (Logicad and Step 7)
13) Knowledgeable of VFDs, principal design, programming, and trouble shooting skills; I.O. systems (Beckhoff, Allen Bradley) and design layout; three-phase motors and ability to troubleshoot; network infrastructure; basic mechanical components in a mill; basic Hydraulic systems, how they operate and design layout
14) Willing to learn and take on multiple roles, such as mechanical and production positions as well as continually improve on primary skill set
15) HS diploma or equivalent is required; electrical degree or training is preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Environment is typical for a steel mill production area, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dusty/greasy areas. Physically demanding work will be required in the production environment. Typical work hours are four 12-hour shifts, which rotate days and nights. This results in working some weekends/holidays and overtime.

This position does not supervise others.

What you will do
Under minimal supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). Your role and responsibilities
An ABB Quality Control System (QCS) Field Service Technician will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of ABB pulp-and-paper quality control products at ABB customer facilities under limited professional supervision. This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, testing and troubleshooting proprietary ABB hardware and software, as well as assisting with any projects, upgrades, new installations, and advanced services for the technician's assigned customer or region. This role is contributing to the Process Automation, Process Industries division in Morrilton, AR.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Maintain ABB's suite of quality control hardware and software. This includes but is not limited to; cleaning debris from sensors, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues with the frame and sensor package, troubleshooting the computer system and HMI/control software, and maintaining the working state of the entire ABB quality control solution at site. The Technician should be able to handle detailed customer questions about the state of the ABB system on-site.
Handle difficult customer service-related issues while fostering the customer relationship and working to solve technical problems on-site. Deal directly with, and communicate effectively with plant operators, plant management, 3rd party vendors, and other ABB employees in support of service operations.
Participate in the mentoring and development of less experienced Field Service Technicians. Provide on-the-job training for other Technicians and report detailed feedback to the appropriate managers.
Participate in the contract management for the site(s) in the Technician's jurisdiction. Assist with contract renewals and provide evidence regarding the value of the ABB contract to the customer.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment applying own wealth of industry experience to resolve problems. A good understanding of electrical theory and electrical safety is required in order to perform this job and promote a safe work environment for other Field Service Technicians.
Qualifications for the role
Associates Degree in field relating to instrumentation & control, electrical engineering technology, electronics, instrumentation or process control.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
2-4 years of crane service technician or industrial electrician experience.
Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrate the ability to learn mechanical and industrial skills.
Candidate must be willing to travel and work in production environments, with some overnight travel is possible.

Your tasks * The Facility Maintenance Technicians I performs a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance for facilities and grounds upkeep, including, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, HVAC, plumbing, etc. * Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Summary: The technician will perform repair work on a wide variety of equipment ranging from complete machine overhauls to minor repairs such as fixing leaks, changing fluids and filters. Other types of repairs may include rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pumps. Some locations have test equipment to dyno test engines, hydraulic pumps and transmissions. Installations may include undercarriage on track machines, attachments on plumbing excavators for hammers or scalers; quick coupler attachments on loaders, excavators and backhoes.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform daily and operational activities in the service department to include the following, but not limited to:
Troubleshoot equipment problem/diagnose failure
Perform diagnostic functions, check pressures, check voltage, locate source of noise or vibration
Disassemble machine, order parts, make repairs, assemble machine, check machine operation make sure repairs are complete and confirm problem is fixed unit has no leaks, and is work ready
Clean parts, scrape gaskets, prep for assembly
Maintain safety and cleanliness of work environment
Travel to jobsites and vendor training sessions as needed
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, a 2 year technical degree or comparable military training is preferred
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field
Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills.
Proficient with a computer, including the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and diagnostic use using manufacturer provided programs.
Must have a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions.
Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist and carry and lift up to 70lbs.
Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 15 feet
Able to work in all types of weather conditions
Capable of working with limited supervision / self-starter
Maintain excellent customer service
Must be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen
