In 1957, Don Fitch founded St Cloud Refrigeration.
1962: The Pugh family sold the business to the Studebaker Corp.
1967: Studebaker Corp. sold the business to White Consolidated Industries.
1979: Franklin's parent company, White Consolidated Industries, acquired Frigidaire from General Motors.
Pat Welty started with St Cloud Refrigeration a few years later, and in 1985, Mike and Pat purchased the company from Don.
1986: Electrolux acquired the St Cloud plant when it bought White Consolidated Industries.
October 1994: The plant made about 65 percent of freezers sold in the United States The employee union, which had about 1,600 members, agreed to a new contract with a 4 percent raise.
June 1996: The plant celebrated its 50th anniversary.
August 2010: Electrolux and the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission settled a religious complaint filed on behalf of about 200 Muslim employees in St Cloud.
January 2018:The company announced it will close the St Cloud plant and invest $500 million in other United States facilities.
