Job Skills / Requirements Location: west Palm Beach, FL Schedule: 1st Shift Pay: $21.00 Primary Purpose and Function The Security Supervisor is responsible for providing security services at assigned locations with a focus on observing and reporting. Duties include, but are not limited to monitoring and reporting all activity, conducting foot patrols, vehicular patrols, golf cart patrols, and/or bicycle patrol of applicable interior and/or exterior areas; reporting suspicious activities, suspicious persons, writing detailed narrative reports, maintaining daily activity reports (DAR's), enforcing post orders, site rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and responding to emergency situations requiring security assistance. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The following are the duties that are necessary to satisfy the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis. * Responsible for executing security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and accompanying policy and procedural guidelines and as directed by SMSSI Management. * May be responsible for conducting walking patrols of building/facility (or assigned areas within or outside the building/facility) and include vehicular patrols, golf cart patrols and/or bicycle patrols. * Responsible for identifying and reporting security threats, unsafe conditions or hazards, and/or other emergency situations. * Responsible for site-specific duties and tasks based on assignment, which may include customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby/visitor reception, service/freight elevator security, loading dock security, and/or a variety of other safety and security roles. * Write detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports during shift, including notation of any unusual activities and how issues were resolved. Responsible for contacting appropriate individuals (Site Supervision, Field Management, etc.) as directed by site post orders or as needed during shift. * Responsible for knowing all site-specific policies and procedures, and implementing emergency response activities as appropriate. * Responsible for following all company procedures, maintaining acceptable attendance, and adhering to all grooming and customer service standards. * Responsible for participating in all company and site required orientation and training programs. * Respond to any incidents that occur during shift, in conformity with the Post Orders and the Company's Use of Force Policy, ensuring appropriate action is taken, all reports are properly completed, and appropriate parties are notified in a timely manner. * Conduct security, customer service, or support function(s) as directed by supervisor or in support of client request(s). Minimum Qualifications To perform this job successfully, candidates must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or experience required. Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of the security industry a plus. * Must possess a valid registration/permit/license required by the state in which the employee is employed. As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test where required by the Company or client. Some clients require additional background screening, testing, and procedures. Additionally, as a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of all necessary registrations/licenses/permits required by the jurisdiction and must carry the appropriate documents at all times while on duty. * May require a current state driver's license, clean driving record as determined by SMSSI, and the ability to safely operate motor vehicle, golf cart, and/or bicycle if assigned to a position requiring operation of such. * Ability to provide reliable transportation (or access public transportation) to consistently get to and from work on time is required. * Ability to write effective, concise, and legible reports. * Demonstrated ability to be very customer service oriented, with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of individuals in a courteous manner, and to de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unsafe. * Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines. * Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. * Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. * Ability to successfully interact at all levels within the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player.     Job Description Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring the successful management and achievement of work performed in the service area and operational goals by providing quotes for jobs and work order review for customer billing; customer communications; field safety practices and compliance with field operating policies. This position has a major responsibility to ensure the complete and total satisfaction of internal and external customers while continually striving to achieve all corporate goals. Essential Functions: Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Establish and mutually agree upon and communicate job expectations (i.e. accurate price quotes and time estimates) to internal and external customers to ensure customer satisfaction according to our mission and core business values Establish, model, and reinforce safety practices that are consistent with our mission to ensure employee and customer safety Model collaborative problem solving and personal influencing skills to ensure that service activities in the incumbent's area of responsibility are aligned with the overall business plan of the service department and company Provide the Service Manager with status reports on all open work orders in an accurate and timely manner Review monthly service operations branch statement to assess progress on department business goals Participate in the selection, development, and evaluation of service department personnel to ensure a high level of commitment and competence is available in our human resources Coordinate the company safety program in all areas of responsibility in a manner consistent with corporate policies and guidelines Successful completions of other key projects as may be assigned by management Work safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of and experience in field service management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills Exceptional organizational, self-management, time management, and multitasking skills Ability to work on multiple projects and deal effectively with employees and management Ability to think logically while interpreting and analyzing problems assigned or encountered Ability to identify complex problems and to review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Ability to work independently as well as a part of a diversified team Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED required Required - Verifiable 3 years of heavy construction equipment repair experience in shop and field required; 5 or more years preferred Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Travel: Up to 20%, to include overnight stays, is to be expected Valid driver's license Physical Requirements: This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc. This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work Occasionally lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. Work Environment: This job is generally performed in a professional office, in environmentally controlled conditions. In accordance with management directives this position directs the activities of the Field Service Department, as well as the employees, in the performance of Field repairs and parts on equipment to ensure that the company provides the customer with the most efficient and cost-effective product line support possible. Primary Responsibilities: This position mandates that the employee be able to perform all of the following functions: * Supervise and develop the personnel of the department * Receive and respond to customer requests or inquiries on equipment repairs * Assist in determination of needed repairs and the timing of repairs * Research information from literature and computer based sources * Assign and schedule equipment and personnel to shop repairs * Other functions as assigned by necessity This position may perform any combination of the following duties: * Assess employee performance and provide guidance or recommend training needed to reach and maintain acceptable performance level * Foster good employee/management relations * Decide upon and administer employee discipline as required * Receive calls from customers on a daily basis concerning the price and schedule for machine repair or service, technical information, recognition of warranty contracts, equipment transportation needs, and other issues * Discuss complex repair diagnoses or procedures with Technical Communicators or other personnel within the company or with the manufacturer * Address equipment down time concerns through scheduling repairs at times most convenient to the customer * Utilize mainframe, personal computers, as well as literature sources such as pricing manuals, service manuals, parts books, service warranty guides, etc, to find information on invoices, work orders, parts availability, repair procedures, flat rate pricing, machine repair history, components under warranty coverage, and other similar information * Devise work schedules for repairs to be performed in the field which utilize available mechanics and service vehicles in the most cost efficient manner while taking into consideration parts availability and delivery schedules * Examine work orders, requisitions, service reports, claim forms, bills of lading, etc, for accuracy and by request of other departments, personnel or the customer; draft budget recommendations * Perform other work related duties as assigned Degrees or Other Special Requirements: * Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical repair procedures and their application to equipment repair * Thorough understanding of Company/contract practices and policies in relation to the direction of the work force * Significant talent in the direction and scheduling of persons, as well as those who supervise and support them, to achieve the highest possible degree of productivity * Considerable written and verbal communication skills for the conveyance of instructions * Working skills in computer applications in a Windows based environment to provide for continual improvement of department efficiency * Provide superior customer service and product support through management of all aspects of the service department * Responsible for developing and managing relationships with customers, employees, salesmen and various departments within Cleveland Brothers. * Proven success in managing and developing staff.
