About This Role
Custodians are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the client's facility, including, but not limited to, removing trash, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning and stocking restrooms and performing other various cleaning duties as assigned at the contracted site.
Custodian Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent service to our clients in the form of comprehensive, detailed cleaning and a friendly demeanor.
* Clean floors using various methods and equipment.
* Clean and sanitize touch points and surfaces.
* Restock and clean restrooms.
* Inform supervisor when inventory is low.
* Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Custodian Requirements
* Successfullypassa background check, fingerprinting, and a 10-panel drug screen.
* Able tooperatemechanical equipment (i.e.vacuums, scrubbers, strippers, etc.)
* Able to use reasoning and judgment
* Able to apply math skills to various custodial tasks (i.e.how much cleaning solution needed for area being cleaned)

This position assists with the management of general custodial operations for the communities and performs all routine custodial tasks. The Custodian serves on-call rotation for emergencies 24 hours per day, 7 days per week on a rotating basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Full-Time Custodian Summary/Objective The position of Full-Time Custodian is established to perform cleaning and sanitation of all public and non-public areas within the Spring Grove Funeral Home. The custodian performs a variety of tasks, including:
Gathers and empties trash, inside and outside the building
Performs heavy cleaning duties
Cleans, polishes and dusts furniture, blinds, walls, equipment, fixtures, desks and other items
Scrubbs, sanitizes and supplies restroom facilities including sinks, floors and commodes
Cleans windows, mirrors and partitions
Sweeps, mops, scrubs and vacuums floors (carpet, tile, LVT, wood, concrete) in all areas including entry ways, corridors, stairways, elevators
Is responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions
Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Replenishes supplies and materials in assigned areas and rooms
Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair as well as report any problems
Follows all safety and sanitation regulations
Properly cleans and maintains custodian equipment
Reports and notifies manager(s) regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems
Other duties as assigned
Work Environment This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard cleaning supplies.
