What You'll Do
As an CNC Setup Programmer and Operator, you'll be part of our team located in Lakewood, OH. You'll get to:
* Responsible for programming and operating CNC equipment; and fabrication of raw metal into finished parts and tools.
* Program, set up and operate CNC equipment and machining centers for fabrication of raw materials into finished parts maintaining company high quality and machine standards.
* Read and interpret sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations.
* Set-up and operate manual machines such as lathe or mill when required.
* Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
* Adjust machine controls as required, document changes according to company procedure.
* Make offset adjustments and perform maintenance maintaining dimensional integrity.
* Complete documentation of set-ups on to set-up sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
* Review blueprint travelers for accuracy.
* Maintain good general housekeeping duties.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace. Follow all health and safety regulations.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Who You Are

* Technical Certification, Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
* Three to five years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience with manual mill/lathe setup and operation preferred.
* G&M code experience required. Conversational programming knowledge preferred.
* Ability to read drawings and sketches.
* Ability to setup and operate CNC machine in accordance with procedures.
* Knowledge of machine fabrication shop processes and procedures.
* Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand and walk for majority of an 8 to 10-hour day.
* Bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day.

Job Summary

Job Description
Avery Dennison is hiring Print Band Operators to support our production operations on various shifts. We offer a starting pay of $20.62 per hour and weekly pay on Fridays.
Available shifts include:
+ 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
+ 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Includes a $2.00 per hour shift differential)
The Print Band Operator will play a crucial role in our operations by managing the process of pulling parts out of molds after they have been heated and appropriately cooled. This position requires a keen attention to detail and adherence to good manufacturing practices to ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality.
In this role, the operator will be responsible for several key tasks, including pouring powder into molds, securing the molds to the machine arm, and clamping the molds together before initiating the heating cycle. Daily responsibilities will include maintaining a clean work area, identifying and addressing any quality issues, and ensuring that the molds used in production match the specifications listed in our computer system.
What You'll Do:
+ Mold Operation: Load, unload, and maintain molds, ensuring proper cleaning and trimming for high-quality output.
+ Slitting & Winding: Set up and operate slitting machines and winding equipment to produce precise bands.
+ Spraying & Painting: Adjust mold sprayers, perform paint prep, and ensure proper application and drying.
+ Quality Control: Perform inspections, make adjustments, and ensure compliance with specifications.
+ Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect tools, molds, and machines, and report any needed repairs.
+ Process Improvement: Support team training, Kaizen initiatives, and waste reduction efforts.
+ Safety & Compliance: Follow PPE guidelines and handle cleaning solvents per company standards.
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.
+ Two or more (2+) years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
+ Ability to tolerate contact with various solvents and related fumes.
+ Successfully complete and pass the Hazardous Material Information Systems (HMIS) training.
+ Able to continuously stand, reach, pull, and push.
+ Good vision is essential.
+ Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. and slide molds on conveyor lines weighing up to 120 lbs.

Computerized Machine Operator Working at our Beavercreek Site: GE Aerospace operations have been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years! Our Beavercreek facility manufactures gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds, and also has complex machining, fabrication and investment casting capabilities. Product engineering, new product development and testing is performed on site. This facility also does repair and overhaul of tubes, ducts, and manifolds. We have been awarded OSHAS's highest safety rating.
Role Overview:
* Set up, operate, edit, and program a variety of computerized machines, such as Furnaces, Lasers, Robots, Coherent General (8-Axis), Presses and/or Benders to customers' specifications and drawing requirements.
* Test new tooling and/or dies and makes recommendations for modifications.
* Perform regular preventative maintenance and ensure tools are accurately calibrated prior to use
* Operate machine(s) in a prescribed safe manner.
* Train and work with all areas of the Cell to run other processes as needed.
* Will use a computer daily (checking email, viewing/downloading shop drawings and instructions)

* Education or experience in programming and operations in programmable controllers
* Team Player and willing to operate in a professional environment

* Excellent attendance and punctuality history and availability to work overtime as needed
* Able to work effectively when receiving general supervision (This involves performing routine assignments alone.)
* Able to carry out operations according to set procedures or sequences.

* Ability to receive and act on constructive feedback
Required Qualifications:
* High School graduate or equivalent
* A minimum of six months experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Technical Trades, or equivalent relevant work history
Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding or ability to learn the use of measuring gauges such as manual calipers and micrometers.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints
* Ability to exert 10 pounds of force frequently. May occasionally exert 20 to 50 pounds of force (with assistance, if needed).
* Ability to stand up to 8 hours/day
Additional Information:
* Wages are $22.75 + per hour based on experience.
* Additional $1.50 Premium Pay for 2nd shift!!
* You'll be operating and working around moving machines - stand-up forklifts, mobile carts, cranes, etc. Due to normal machining operations there may be dust, fumes, or smoke (not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels (PEL)).
* In addition to sitting and standing while operating equipment, some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs.

What You'll Do
As an CNC Setup Programmer and Operator, you'll be part of our team located in Lakewood, OH. You'll get to:
Responsible for programming and operating CNC equipment; and fabrication of raw metal into finished parts and tools.
Program, set up and operate CNC equipment and machining centers for fabrication of raw materials into finished parts maintaining company high quality and machine standards.
Read and interpret sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations.
Set-up and operate manual machines such as lathe or mill when required.
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
Adjust machine controls as required, document changes according to company procedure.
Make offset adjustments and perform maintenance maintaining dimensional integrity.
Complete documentation of set-ups on to set-up sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
Review blueprint travelers for accuracy.
Maintain good general housekeeping duties.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace. Follow all health and safety regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Who You Are

Technical Certification, Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Ability to read drawings and sketches.
Ability to setup and operate CNC machine in accordance with procedures.
Knowledge of machine fabrication shop processes and procedures.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand and walk for majority of an 8 to 10-hour day.
Bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
