Your Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of transportation design build projects across North America for large and mid-size construction. May manage technical employees, work planning, technical design management and oversight, project delivery, quality management, contract administration, change management, and risk management. This position can be based in any of Stantec's Florida offices and will require the ability to travel regionally as needed, especially to other Stantec and client offices within Florida.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Experience leading the design and construction support as a Design Manager of complex transportation projects
* Experience in the preparation of presentations utilizing PowerPoint
* Experience developing, negotiating, and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets
* Business development and marketing skills experience required
* Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and develop a team of technical and professional staff
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in a dynamic and energetic environment
* Experience with APD projects across a region or nationally preferred
Education and Experience
* Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive engineering and project management experience on large transportation projects, including at least ten (10) in design management
* Completion of a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree at an accredited institution
* Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed or ability to get within 6 months, and the ability to get licensed in states as needed to support the assigned pursuit

Project Management
Responsible for the management of transportation design projects for FDOT, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, counties, and municipalities.
Direct and/or develop project design documentation, including typical section packages, pavement design reports, design exceptions and variations, and specifications.

Assisting the lead Biologist/Scientist in performing wetland, plants and wildlife, protected upland, intertidal and nearshore marine, and other ecological surveys.
Assisting ecological leads with processing field data and development/originating ecological assessment reports and utilization of equipment such as tablets and GPS units.
Assisting with coordination of various governmental agencies regarding ecological survey protocols, reporting standards, endangered and threatened species coordination, or compliance with environmental permit and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Identify potential environmental impacts through reviews of engineering plans, aerials, field data, desktop research, and GIS databases.
Conduct visual inspections of drainage facilities
Working with the team leads to becoming familiar with our field survey equipment, data forms and other data collection and reporting tools.
Assisting in preparing permit applications, NEPA documents, and other technical information.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Biology or another related field.
The position requires fieldwork, and the candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to travel overnight. Field work may require working long days outdoors, over uneven densely vegetated terrain, sometimes under rigorous conditions (e.g., hot and/or rainy weather, remote areas, in a variety of habitats).
Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Job Summary
Langan is seeking an Senior Environmental Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Miami, FL. This individual will serve a key function in identifying and managing environmental/engineering projects and proposals, conducting engineering research and analysis, and supervising field investigations and laboratory analysis. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage diverse projects, solve problems and overcome challenges in restoring the environment and returning blighted properties to productive re-use while protecting and enhancing the environment.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects;
* Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing project and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients;
* Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments. Coach, train, and motivate staff assigned to Environmental projects. Participate in interviewing and hiring staff;
* Supervise field activities and ensure correct interpretations of findings. Ensure that data collection and laboratory analyses are completed correctly, within budget, and on time;
* Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Prepare progress reports and draft change orders. Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections;
* Effectively organize, write, and edit reports, draft proposals, and other documents;
* Coordinate other work groups within the same or different office locations and/or within the same or different disciplines on an as-needed basis;
* Interface effectively and professionally with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, project personnel, supervisors, and others; and
* Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; Master's degree preferred;
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations;
* 10+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects;
* Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) required;
* Strong people, project, and client management skills;
* Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software;
* Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills;
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;

Full-time position working out of our Miami Branch. Perform soil test borings and obtain accurate logs and soil samples for laboratory analysis and engineering evaluations. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions. The work is generally physically demanding.
Responsibilities:

* Operate drilling equipment such as rotary wash and auger drill rig
* Obtain SPT, Auger and Core samples
