We are seeking a mechanical, civil or electrical engineer to join Stantec's fast paced and nationally recognized Fuel System Engineering Team as a Fuel System Engineer - Designer. The Team specializes in the design of fuel infrastructure projects ranging from fleet, aviation, EV charging, and alternative fuel systems. This position will be responsible for working primarily with the Team in the Portland, ME, Auburn, NH or Kansas City, MO offices working on a wide range of fuel system designs. Working on diverse projects with multiple engineering disciplines, including structural, environmental, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering will be required on a project-by-project basis. Your Key Responsibilities
Office work will include Computer Aided Design Drafting (CADD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) work for civil, mechanical, and electrical (focused on fuel) systems in AutoCAD and Revit, as well as specification and design report writing.
Design responsibilities will include calculating, modeling and designing fuel related facilities, managing design tasks, and communicating design progress and challenges to project stakeholders.
Supporting and/or leading other designers to complete fueling projects and designs.
Periodic local, regional, and national travel from time to time is included.
Out of office work will include construction observation, site inspection, and compliance inspection.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit is preferred.

**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. This position will offer you the opportunity to manage and/or lead engineering teams through the execution of EHV transmission line projects. This role will actively lead and manage engineering teams in the execution of EHV transmission line engineering designs for electric utilities, COOPs, and developers. As a subject matter specialist in the area of EHV transmission lines this position will be expected to provide expert level support the organization on 500kV and 765kV transmission line designs. The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of EHV transmission line projects.
+ Function as a subject matter specialist and technical resource for EHV transmission line designs, specifically for 500kv and above.
+ Responsible for execution of engineering projects including the technical development of design deliverables.
+ Supervise and direct the engineering project team in the execution of EHV transmission line designs. Mentor and coach team members.
+ Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with client functional leads and stakeholders.
+ Lead efforts to ensure engineering projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
+ Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors.
+ Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure designs comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.

**Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer**
**This Opportunity**
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is currently initiating a search for a Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer for our Ann Arbor, Michigan office. Be involved in projects with our Power Delivery Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.
Provides technical assistance and guidance for multi-site/phase due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, improvement, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector. Tasks may include assisting with the research, design, concept development, planning, and construction of facilities, roads, buildings, tunnels, dams, bridges, water supply systems, and sewage treatment. Substantiates reports and documentation regarding material, installations, and construction specifications. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.
**You Impact**
**Project Engineering Leadership**
+ Lead and execute the engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
+ Lead and/or support the initial project execution layout to ensure an efficient and effective project plan has been established.
+ Responsible for creating and maintaining a project schedule.
+ Conduct weekly or bi-weekly project meetings to outline upcoming deliverables and tasks with the responsible personnel identified clearly.
+ Coordinate with clients on project status and support project meetings as necessary.
+ Maintain project workflow and thorough communication across multi-disciplinary projects, both internal and external to POWER.
+ Forecast upcoming project requirements to assist in resource planning.
+ Facilitate and adhere to POWER's QA/QC procedures.
+ Participate in industry conferences, both internal and external, to improve professional growth while fostering knowledge transfer to colleagues.
+ Demonstrate transmission line design expertise pertaining to PLS-CADD, structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, structure loading, material procurement, construction specifications, construction methods, construction estimates, and construction support.
+ Lead project teams of varying sizes.
+ Travel to client offices/field/vendor facilities, as needed.
**Project Manager (PM) Support**
+ Support the Project Manager with project status reports.
+ Work with PMs to develop scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
+ Work with PMs to identify out-of-scope items and support work scope variances.
+ Provide weekly or bi-weekly project updates and project forecasting.
+ Lead and/or support the PM with meetings with clients, both in person and remotely.
+ Develop client relationships, allowing POWER the opportunity to position ourselves to win future work.
**Department Support**
+ Support resource forecasting.
+ Support recruitment efforts.
+ Provide business improvement methodologies and procedures.
+ Support staff performance and technical development with department leadership.
+ Contribute to the business planning efforts.
+ Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

**Who You Are**
**Required Education/Experience:**
+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering
+ 5-7 years experience in the transmission field of managing projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams
+ Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
+ Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-90.
+ Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation
+ The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
+ Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
**Preferred Education/Experience:**
+ Field program planning, management, and execution.
+ Subcontractor management.
+ Cost estimating and scheduling.
+ Field experience.
+ MBA degree from an accredited university.
+ Involvement in technical societies (IEEE, CIGRE, ASCE...)
+ Experience using ArcGIS, AutoCAD/Microstation, Foundation Design Software (FAD Tools, SHAFT, LPILE).
