This is a professional position primarily responsible for the supervision of a unit that determines eligibility for public assistance benefits. Supervision of an ESS Lobby or Storefront may also be required. The primary duty of the incumbent is to spend most of the time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, planning and directing employee's work assignments, and having the authority to recommend personnel actions. Position Snapshot/A Day in the Life: A Production Supervisor oversees the daily flow of projects from concept to completion, coordinating between editors, designers, and multimedia specialists to ensure all content meets quality standards and deadlines. They manage schedules, allocate resources, resolve production challenges, and maintain strong communication across departments and vendors. With a strong handle on storytelling for government, they ensure complex information is presented clearly, accurately, and engagingly across digital, and multimedia platforms. Focused on efficiency and precision, the Production Supervisor keeps projects on track, supports team productivity, and ensures every deliverable is produced to the highest standard on time and within scope. This position may require working weekends and/or holidays.
Essential Functions
The incumbent must have the ability to:
Participates in the production of government access programming and other city broadcast events. Participates in the production of weekly broadcast and videotaping of city meetings and special events.
Prepares scripts, shot sheets and storyboards for production project concepts
Establishes project production schedules; assists with staff training and certifications; provides quality control on all video projects; coordinates the direction and work of crew assigned to video projects.
Plans and organizes video projects in pre-production phase to ensure final project meets conceptual goals; operates all related video production equipment; assists in locally originated program planning.
Will be responsible for assessing community needs, and developing and marketing programs as needed.
Plans, organizes video productions, including script writing, and directing of scripted and unscripted program; performs editing and quality control
Interface with City departments and community organizations to develop production concepts.
Oversees the tape blocking duplication and playback; coordinates and conducts public access training and production; maximizes use of available production and post production equipment.
Writes clear and concise reports and correspondence; assists with budget preparation; maintains records and files
Oversee the training and work scheduling of staff and interns.
Oversees the production of selected in-house training videos.
Edits and dubs videotapes.
Writes and edits scripts utilized in the production of city broadcast videos.
Operates camcorder, remote pan and tilt cameras.
Operates and maintains city's production facilities and equipment.
Provides courteous and expeditious customer service to the City department, staff and general public
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain cooperative-working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Experience and Training Guidelines
A combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. The employee must have the knowledge of:
Technical requirements of operating a cable access station.
Basic operations, services and activities of a cable access program.
Principles and practices of program development and implementation.
Recent developments, current Federal and State laws, and local codes relating to cable access television.
Television and video equipment and production techniques for directing, editing, camera, audio, and graphics.
Principles of marketing.
Principles and procedures of record keeping and reporting
Modern office organization and equipment and the use of a computer and related software applications.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a lead or senior position coordinating all phases of television broadcast productions, including live and taped cable casting. Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience supervising or leading professional staff. Two (2) years of experience in live broadcasting. Experience working with a governmental agency.
Education: Equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in communications, public relations, television productions or broadcasting.
Licenses/Certifications: Possession of, and continuously throughout employment, a valid California driver's license.

American Conservation Experience, a non-profit conservation corps with divisional branches in Sacramento, CA, Ridgecrest, CA, and Coachella Valley, CA, is looking for AmeriCorps Team Leaders (ATLs) to come join our team of young adults serving on meaningful conservation projects throughout the Pacific West. Our mission is to introduce and prepare our AmeriCorps members for careers in resource management within the conservation corps industry or with public agencies such as California State Parks, US Forest Service, National Park Service, National Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, as well as many other local and non-profit land steward organizations. ACE Pacific West crews serve in Yosemite National Park, Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park, Death Valley National Park, on the Pacific Crest Trail, in coastal State Parks, on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, and in numerous other inspiring locations. This opportunity is intended for those looking to utilize their leadership skills to advance their career while immersed in a community of like-minded young professionals from around the country. ATLs typically serve for 26 weeks on projects including ecological restoration, habitat improvement, and trail maintenance and construction, all while completing a term of AmeriCorps service. While serving, ATLs typically have 3-6 days off between each project to enjoy California's abundant beauty and recreational opportunities with their friends and colleagues. Location: Sacramento, CA
Projects take place throughout California and the Pacific West.
Schedule: Project schedules vary greatly, but typically ATLs serve 8 days on/ 6 days off or 4 days on/ 3 days off. For remote projects, ATLs spend off-days nearer to their project location. Remote projects often last multiple project schedule cycles.
Benefits: ATL compensation and benefits include a package valued at over $2,400/mo.
ATLs will receive a Living Allowance of $520/week, paid bi-weekly.
ATLs obtain an Education Award for the amount of $3,697.50 (for 900 hours) upon successful completion of service.
ACE provides ATLs with food during all project days; ATLs are responsible for providing their own food on off-days.
ACE provides ATLs with free housing during their term of service. When working in or near the Pacific West Division, ATLs spend off days in our hostel-style housing in Sacramento, CA. When working remotely, ATLs will be provided tents and campsites in those remote locations. The ATL will provide their own blankets/pillow/sleeping bag/towels.
AmeriCorps Team Leaders may also be eligible for qualifying child care coverage and federal loan forbearance. Additional enrollment steps are required.
Gear: ACE provides each ATL their own tent. The ATL will provide their own sleeping bag, sleeping pad, rain gear, and hiking boots. Upon acceptance to the program, ATLs will receive a more extensive packing list. Weather can be highly variable, so plan on bringing layers of warm clothing and adequate rain gear. ATLs will have access to deeply discounted Pro Deals via Outdoor Prolink once they are offered and accept a position, and will have the opportunity to purchase discounted gear prior to their arrival.
Travel: ACE provides transportation to and from worksites; personal vehicles are not necessary throughout the ATL's term of service. ACE does not provide relocation assistance.
Position Description:
ATLs serve in professionally supervised teams as they explore future outdoor careers, learn practical field skills, and develop confidence as emerging leaders in the field of conservation. ATLs are afforded opportunities to learn and train under the guidance of professional mentors within ACE, while gaining invaluable career perspectives working alongside staff from the National Park Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and many other stewards of our nation's public lands. ATLs are expected to assist Crew Leaders in all aspects of crew work and life, including leading portions of crews independently, serving as an interim Crew Leader in the event of staff absences, setting a positive example for members, and other duties as assigned.
Field work and additional responsibilities might include but are not limited to:

Trail construction and maintenance
Dry and wet stone masonry

Invasive species removal

Leading safety discussions

Keeping living spaces clean and in good order
ATLs get experience with, or in conjunction with, the following tools and equipment, depending on their level of training:
Trail Maintenance: Pick mattocks, Pulaskis, shovels, single/double jacks, McLeods, single bit axes, rock bars, chisels, crosscut saws, and griphoists.
Restoration Equipment: Herbicide backpack sprayers, spray bottles, GPS units, and measuring tools.
Power Tools and Gas Powered Equipment: Chainsaws, brush-cutters, drills, saws, and compressors.
Qualifications: Applicants should be prepared to perform physically challenging labor on environmental and conservation projects for 10 hours a day. Applicants should expect to hike extended distances on rough terrain carrying backpacks, tools, and equipment, and be prepared to spend 8 consecutive days in the field, on each project. ATLs will work in a variety of weather conditions such as temperatures ranging from below freezing to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, high winds, intense sunshine, rain, and snow.

Able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and capable of hiking moderate distances in somewhat rough terrain during inclement weather conditions
Willingness to undergo and must pass the required federal criminal history check

Physical Demands, Work Environment and Working Conditions:
Physical Demands: Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, hiking, carrying, using hands to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. Manual dexterity required for use of various tools or equipment. Required to stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and/or crouch. Ability to hike over rough terrain, and camp overnight under field conditions.
Vision Requirements: Close, distance, peripheral and depth perception vision as well as the ability to focus may be required.
Weight Lifted or Force Exerted: Frequently moves up to 25 lbs., ability to move up to 60 pounds.
Environmental: Outdoor and indoor conditions. Work environment conditions can change frequently; working under adverse weather conditions and in various climates.
Noise Environment: Moderate to high noise such gas-powered chainsaws and other hand and power tools.
Travel: This position requires domestic travel.
Environmental Conditions/Hazards: The ACE member(s) may encounter environmental conditions/hazards including extreme heat or cold, rocky terrain, swamp or wetland conditions, biting insects, and potentially dangerous wildlife. Our Organization and Mission:
The Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco licenses the manufacture, distribution, sale, and service of alcoholic beverage and tobacco products in Florida, including receipt and processing of license applications; collection and auditing of taxes and fees paid by licensees; and enforcement of the laws and regulation of the alcoholic beverage and tobacco industries, pursuant to Chapters 210, 561-565, 567-569, Florida Statutes. The division's three bureaus - Licensing, Auditing and Enforcement - comprise a team of approximately 325 personnel fulfilling the regulatory obligations of the division throughout the state.
The Work You Will Do:
This is a Selected Exempt Service (SES) position assigned to the Bureau of Licensing. The Regulatory Supervisor / Consultant - SES position oversees the functions and regulatory activities of an office processing team for the review of applications and the issuance of licenses, permits, and registrations for the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco. This supervisory position works independently performing professional work involving eligibility determinations for the issuance of alcoholic beverage, cigarette, and tobacco licenses, permits, and registrations. The position works in conjunction with the regional licensing managers, the Assistant Chief of Licensing and the Chief of Licensing within the Bureau. The duties of this position include (but are not limited to):
* Reviewing applications for licenses, permits, and registrations to ensure the applicants, premises, and locations are qualified for licensure.
* Corresponding and communicating with applicants regarding omissions or deficiencies in license applications.
* Processing routine and complex applications based upon department policy, Florida Administrative Code, or Florida Statutes.
* Independently evaluating qualifications and requirements to determine eligibility for licensure.
* Independently determining approval or denial of applications submitted for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
* Updating all necessary systems, logs, and other applicable data systems consistently and accurately.
* Providing excellent service, accurate information, and specific guidance to internal and external customers regarding licensure functions.
* Preparing reports and other documentation to provide information to the division, department, licensees, and the public.
* Processing fee payments to ensure all monies received are deposited in the correct bank account accurately and timely, per established agency receipting procedures.

* Supervising a work group of licensing staff to ensure that application processing is conducted according to the bureau and division established policies and procedures, and within the allotted timeframes for each step in the process, for the issuance of alcoholic beverage, cigarette, and tobacco licenses, permits, and registrations.
* Performing review audits of applications for licensure processed by staff, to ensure accuracy and completion of information, consistency with the established agency licensing procedures, receipt of fee payments, recording of information into the licensing databases, and process completion by each employee.
* Augmenting licensing staff functions by processing applications received in the office, both by performing specific actions within the processing procedures and by processing the applications through to final status of approval or disapproval.
* Coordinating with regional managers and other licensing district office supervisors to ensure consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness of statewide licensing operations. Coordinates with the Bureaus of Auditing and Enforcement district office managers to ensure cohesiveness among the division's bureau functions.
* Providing accurate information and direction to internal and external customers regarding licensure functions.
