Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a BehaviorAnalyst I for the Shapiro Center located in Kankakee, Illinois to perform professional behavioral analysis for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Develops, implements, and monitors behavioral program systems for assigned individuals. Trains program delivery staff in behavior analysis techniques. Develops program recommendations for inter-disciplinary or multi-disciplinary team review. Serves as a member of the inter-disciplinary team. Provides habilitation programming for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Essential Functions
* Performs professional behavioral analysis for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Provides guidance and direction to Interdisciplinary Team members in the implementation of behavioral procedures to modify individuals' behavior and assists in the development and implementation of specialized projects.
* Serves as a member of the Inter-disciplinary Team to develop, review and update assigned individuals habilitation plans.
* Integrates facility and community-based services to meet each individual's needs.
* Verifies treatment procedures, restraints and seclusion are implemented only under proper approval and in compliance with facility and department regulations.
* Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
* Requires current, valid certification as a Board-Certified BehaviorAnalyst (BCBA).* or Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst-D (BCBA-D) by the BehaviorAnalyst Certification Board (BACB), accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or Its successor organization and requires one (1) year of professional experience in, applied behavior analysis or completion of the agency-sponsored BehaviorAnalyst Associate program.
* *A master's degree is required to gain BCBA certification; a doctoral degree (PhD) is required to gain the BCBA-D designation.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Monitors student progress and conducts regular behavioral progress monitoring to support student growth and improve behavioral outcomes.
* Conducts functional behavioral assessments, and environmental and classroom assessments/checklists as needed to inform instructional planning, monitor intervention effectiveness, and support data-driven decision-making for student success.
* Supports the development, implementation, and documentation of behavior intervention strategies to promote positive student behavior and ensure compliance with best practices and district procedures.
* Develops, evaluates, and enhances district-wide behavioral systems to promote consistency, equity, and effectiveness in behavior management and disciplinary practices.
* Engages in ongoing professional development and provides targeted training to build staff capacity in behavior analysis, classroom management, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Remote Crisis Intervention Specialist Training
Lines for Life requires extensive Crisis Lines Onboarding training, which can be completed remotely. New hires must attend 5 weeks of paid crisis lines onboarding training. The next training begins March 9th and consists of 3 weeks between 8:30am - 5:00pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, plus 2 weeks of additional precepting training. The schedule for precepting can vary as we are a 24/7, 365 day a year operation, so flexibility in your availability is needed to complete the precepting portion of the training. We want to make sure that all candidates understand that while you do get a scheduled lunch break, even missing half hour portions of these trainings can result in training expectations not being met. Home - Based Workers are responsible to maintain the following complete and legible contemporaneous records.
Bi weekly time sheets which are signed daily by the parent and staff
Daily documentation sheets which specifies the date, time location, duration and levels of participation of parent and child for each therapeutic objective
Individual scoring (data) sheets for each objective listed in the child's treatment plan. Data is compiled daily and documents the child's response to treatment, the level of assistance provided by staff or parents, and all other objective information identified by the therapeutic consultant as relevant to the evaluation of care for each objective.
Bi weekly case presentation sheets that prepare the staff for a supervisory meeting with clinical staff. Case presentations provide staff an opportunity to summarize data and other relevant information for each goal. These documents are also used to record feedback and recommendations provided by clinical staff.
Staff meeting once a month - mandatory.
Meet with your clinical supervisor once a month.
To complete preparation materials and participate in the semi-annual planning meetings, if requested (HBTS status update and renewal, IEP).
To ensure the optimal health and safety of children with special health care needs receiving supports.
To adhere to all safety policies, including safe driving and seatbelt policies.
All other duties as assigned and/or as identified in the HBTS treatment plan and Individual profile.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
19 years of age
High School Diploma or GED required and 2 years experience working with children with special health care needs or a combination of experience, education, and training working with children with special health care needs and their families or an Associates Degree in a related field.
Proficiency using digital devices and operating systems
Willingness and ability to complete and perform CPR and Non-Violent Physical Crises Intervention (NCI).
Willingness and ability to complete HBTS Training Curriculum

This also includes but is not limited to, case management responsibilities, staff training, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides clinical case management for assigned caseload, which includes, but is not limited to completing assessments, conceptualizing goals and the course of therapy, recommending therapy hours, creating treatment plans, reviewing data and other pertinent information to make treatment recommendations, and communicating with all relevant stakeholders.
Involves the entire family or caregivers in treatment such that treatment plans include training goals, parents/caregivers are frequently updated on progress, growth, or areas of continued focus; BCBA will provide parent/staff training each month, which can be in whatever setting is deemed most appropriate.

Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a BehaviorAnalyst Associate for the Shapiro Center located in Kankakee, Illinois to actively participate in in-service and on-the-job training for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months, to gain proficiency and practical expertise in the field of applied behavior analysis consistent with the Behaviorist career discipline. Receives instruction in appropriate treatment standards and practical application of intervention procedures, restraints and seclusion. Completes controlled work assignments of increasing difficulty, complexity and responsibility. Instructs staff responsible for implementing treatment programs and support or ancillary staff impacting treatment programs on detailed treatment instructions and methodologies. Serves as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team.

The Counselor III position is a valuable member of the Substance Abuse Program that provides direct care to those in the Methadone maintenance program. The counselor is responsible for evaluating and assessing clients for the appropriate level of care and aiding in planning/implementing a treatment plan. The counselor conducts individual, group, and family counseling, case management, outreach, education, monitoring, referral, linkage, follow-ups, and documentation. The counselor will work directly with the Methadone program and clients.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who can:
* Understanding of Methadone and its challenges
* Guide clients through the addition process
* A mobile resource for the community in educating about the recovery process
* Driving is required in the local community
Scheduled Hours: 37.5 hours a week
* Monday - Friday (6 am-2 pm)
* Saturdays as necessary (6 am-11:30 am)
* Provides direct services to clients, including individual and group treatment.
* Maintains regular contact with an active caseload.
* Consults with the supervisor regarding transfer/placement of a client to another level of service, as needed.
* Facilitates with clients and collaborates with the treatment team to develop, review, and update treatment goals and referrals both internally and externally.
* Assists clients in obtaining public entitlements, housing, community resources, etc.
* Attends staffing with Court Services, schools, agencies, and others, as necessary.
* Organizes and participates in treatment-related clinical conferences and staffing on assigned clients.
* Focuses on client empowerment, evidence-based or adopted best practices in providing treatment, seeking to assist clients to build on strengths in addressing treatment needs.
* Conducts crisis intervention/evaluation/referral to persons who present themselves at the program.

* Takes responsibility for training in and documenting clinical chart requirements to meet program and state standards.

* Be licensed as a psychologist pursuant to the Clinical Psychology Practice Act [225 ILCS 15]; or
* Be licensed as a social worker or licensed clinical social worker pursuant to the Clinical Social Work and Social Work Practice Act [225 ILCS 20].
Any new professional staff, who will provide clinical services in a treatment or designated program service and who do not meet the requirements of above when hired shall meet the requirements specified in within (2) two years after the date of employment in the substance use disorder (SUD) field. Time in the SUD field is accumulative, it is not per employment episode.
