Summary: Assemble finished products and/or other work as directed by Lead Person or Supervisor. Having some basic hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical aptitude is helpful. Able to read blueprints, various types of measuring devices. Basic computer skills are a plus but not necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Be capable of performing all aspects of the assembly area, working with other employees as part of a team, and be prompt and on time daily for work.
Willingness to take direction from area supervision to complete orders in a timely manner.
Be capable of reading work orders and understanding technical documents required by the job an assembler.
Have the ability and desire to become efficient with mechanical equipment, learn all aspects of job as required.
Continually demonstrates a productive and non-disruptive work ethic.
Works in such a way as to create no or limited scrap or rework, works to continually improve quality level.
Follows all company safety rules as laid out in the company safety manual and all other company policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Prior assembly experience.
Read blueprints/work orders.
Basic manufacturing background and mechanical aptitude.

Exceptional Attendance.
Be able to climb ladders, sitting/standing as needed to do job tasks.
Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. at times as required by job.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Physical Requirements:
Position will require standing on concrete floor during majority of shift, not including break times.
Candidate must be able to lift 50lbs and/or push up to 50lbs.
Most objects being lift will be lifted approximately from floor to waist. (48”)
Candidate must be able to reach/grab parts up to 10lbs.
Some functions may include climbing ladders. Appx 5'.
Some functions will require crouching, squatting, and kneeling.
Good hand dexterity and balance is required to operate all equipment necessary.
Job duties may require a minimum amount of crawling.
Daily use of 5 senses to maintain safety for the team and self.

Travel on short notice as part of the apprenticeship program.
Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts and reassemble machines.
Set up and adjust machines to equipment specifications.
Keep training jacket updated daily with on-the-job training details and level signoffs.
Perform all tasks with required safety equipment and comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
After completion of apprenticeship program, team member will be transferred to the Field Service department.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The Electromechanical Technician will be responsible for carrying out assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems infrastructure and equipment. Must have good vision and manual dexterity.
Able to sit / stand for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.

Able to bend, push, carry, twist, and lift up to 50lbs without difficulty on a continuous basis.

What will you do in this role?
Provide maintenance and mechanical support to production teams by troubleshooting equipment, understanding the instrumentation and perform repairs as needed and assemble, install, dismantle, and repair machinery, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, plan, and perform all required operations in preparation for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment within the facility and make proper connections to panels, electronic units, etc.
Perform general repairs to all types of machines or equipment, tear down units, determine extent of troubles, repair or replace defective parts and reassemble.
Replace parts such as bearing, gears, shafts, worn or broken units or equipment elements and install wire motors and drives for a variety of standard and special purpose machines and equipment. Must demonstrate the use of a multi-meter and have AC/DC drive experience.
Move machines and equipment to the designated area using forklifts, hoists, and other equipment.
Install all types of conduit, making bends, threading, and reaming where necessary.
Perform ordinary machining operations using lathe, milling machine, grinder, drill press, etc.
Perform general maintenance work in all buildings on Flexcon's campus
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state and federal regulatory requirements with industry best practices.
Experience and commitment to fulfilling the preventative maintenance program including inspecting, cleaning, lubrication and adjustments to equipment and machines.
Skilled in reading and working from blueprints, drawings, and schematics to complete tasks.
What does it take to be successful in this role?
H.S. Diploma or GED
Knowledge of Allen Bradley equipment and software preferred.
Use a laptop to connect to PLC's and drives to troubleshoot and make repairs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Willing to get your hands dirty
Some travel may be required

Your Contribution
* Provide for corrective, preventative, predictive, safety and emergency repairs to electrical machinery and electronic equipment utilized in LNS's manufacturing processes.
* Ability to troubleshoot facility wiring, electronic controls, including servo/stepper motor controls, process equipment and general mechanical equipment.
* Completes accurate records via an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
* Troubleshoot machine and system failures on a timely basis in a production environment; provide appropriate corrective actions.
* Use schematics, blueprints & diagrams to find the sequence of operations to aid in effective troubleshooting of electronic hardware, vacuum systems, hydraulic systems, basic mechanical systems, and pneumatic systems.
* Calibrate electronic controllers and maintain accurate records.
* Provides project support on internal projects.
* Assist Engineering personnel in conducting process and project evaluation and problem solving, must work in a team environment.
* Assist in building and grounds maintenance when needed.
* Moves, assembles, installs, adjusts, repairs and services all standard production machinery and equipment.
* Works overtime as required and responds to emergency call-ins.
Your Profile
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum two (2) years' electromechanical training and PLC knowledge for troubleshooting and repair for production equipment.
* Four (4) years' experience in mechanical, electrical repair, and PLC troubleshooting and repair for production equipment.
* Ability to read schematics, blueprints and diagrams.
* Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office software.
* Self-motivated and results oriented.
* Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
* Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
* Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
Hourly Pay Range: $26.00-$42.00
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
