    Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, Maryland, DC and New York providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for a Service Technician at our Pittston, PA location. Duties include, but are not limited to: Repair and replace damaged or worn parts Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles Comply with all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools Clean parts by spraying them with grease solvent or immersing them in tanks of solvent Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies, such as transmissions and crawler heads, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes Adjust and maintain industrial machinery, using controls and regulating devices Effectively communicate and actively participate within a goal-orientated team environment Actively participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities Maintain a clean and organized work area Perform other duties as assigned Total Compensation Includes: Competitive Pay Factory Training Tool Allowance Full Benefits Package 401k with Matching Paid Time Off Requirements Our Best fit will have: High School Diploma or GED Continued Education with a technical school is a plus Valid Driver's License Ability to lift 50lbs with an occasional lift up to 100lbs with assistance of a crane The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of the position and may not include all of the duties required of the position.
