Jeff oversees the company’s technology strategy, infrastructure, architecture, and applications as well as all corporate and interoffice telecommunications. Prior to joining Sterling Bay, Jeff spent three years at Deloitte Consulting as a Managing Director helping real estate and investment management clients across the United States transform their business through technology assessments and implementations, mergers and back-office reengineering. Prior to Deloitte, Jeff spent 10 years at Equity Office Properties as their Chief Information Officer where he led the company’s technology strategy during and after the buyout by The Blackstone Group. Previously, Jeff spent 13 years at Accenture consulting in their Financial Services industry. Jeff earned his BS in Finance from Indiana University.

Andrew Peterson is a Chief Engineer at Sterling Bay and is based in Greater Chicago Area. He attended Saint Xavier University between 2003 and 2007.

In 2002, Andy joined Sterling Bay and directed its growth and evolution into a 200-plus-person fully-integrated, owner/operator real estate investment and development company. Andy led Sterling Bay to become a pioneer of the urban model of innovation districts in Chicago and anchor its developments with leading corporations. Recent high-profile development and re-development projects completed by Sterling Bay under Andy’s leadership include corporate headquarters for McDonald’s, Google, Hillshire Brands, C.H. Robinson, Dyson, Glassdoor and Gogo. Prior to leading Sterling Bay, Andy was a Managing Director at Insignia/ESG, where he completed over five million square feet of commercial real estate transactions. Andy began his career as a tenant-side commercial real estate broker. Andy earned a BA in Political Science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Andy is actively involved with Misericordia, a Chicago organization supporting persons with developmental disabilities. He also serves on the board of Cara, a Chicago non-profit helping to break the cycle of homelessness. Andy is a licensed managing real estate broker in Illinois.

Experienced CFO and COO with a demonstrated history of managing the operations and finances of global tech and service startups, growth companies, federal businesses, turnaround situations and national firms with assets under management in excess of $15B. Passion for growing interesting, dynamic businesses and using extensive experience to motivate teams, provide strategic direction, raise capital and solve complex problems. Repeatedly received accolades from CEOs, board members, investors, and employees for thoughtful, high impact leadership of company operations and finances.Used technical skills to underwrite and manage major financial transactions including IPOs, M&As, CDOs, and privatizations. Concise communication and positive mentoring motivated teams to successful outcomes.

Bruce Cassidy is a Chief Engineer at Sterling Bay and is based in Greater Chicago Area. He studied at Purdue University Northwest between 1992 and 1996.

Chang is responsible for sourcing and closing new acquisitions and development projects outside of Chicago and expanding the firm’s capital partner relationships. Chang led Sterling Bay to establish joint venture relationships with Lone Star, DRA Advisors and Wheelock Street Capital. Chang also oversaw the development of Ace Hotel Chicago and is overseeing the development of Hyatt House in Fulton Market and 545wyn, an office project in Miami. For ten years prior to joining Sterling Bay, Chang provided investment sale advisory services at Eastdil Secured, LLC, focusing on office assets in the Midwest and retail assets throughout the country, completing over $18 billion in office, retail and residential transactions. He earned a BS in Business from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is a member of Urban Land Institute, Kellogg Real Estate Alumni Club, and University of Illinois Real Estate Alumni Club.

Greg Sudkamp is a Chief Compliance Officer at Sterling Bay and is based in Greater Chicago Area. He has worked as Senior Manager at Baker Tilly US, Chief Compliance Officer at CME Group Inc., and Manager at Protiviti. Greg attended University of Illinois Chicago, Loyola University Chicago, and Eastern Illinois University.

Keith Douglas serves as the Chief Innovation and Marketing Officer at Sterling Bay. As a marketing, branding and operations expert for over 25 years, Keith has worked in various industries including commercial real estate, hospitality, travel and tourism. Prior to joining Sterling Bay in 2020, Keith designed the marketing vision and strategy for landmark real estate assets, One World Observatory and Top of the Rock Observation Deck, and led branding efforts for several of the nation’s leading hotel franchises. Keith earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Johnson & Wales University in Hospitality Management.

Mike is responsible for all finance, accounting, tax, human resources, fund operations, and fundraising functions. In addition, Mike serves as Chief Compliance Officer, leading Sterling Bay’s registered investment adviser compliance program. During his time at Sterling Bay, Mike has instituted all fund operation processes and controls, created and enhanced the corporate accounting function, created and led all financial planning and analyses initiatives, and enhanced the property accounting function leading to a Statement of Controls (SOC-1) certification. Mike has led the operations and accounting of private funds for 20 years. Prior to joining Sterling Bay in 2014, he spent over 16 years as the Chief Financial Officer of leading private equity firms including Riordan, Lewis & Haden in Los Angeles and Code, Hennessy & Simmons in Chicago. In that time, Mike transformed back office operations, supported strong growth in assets under management, developed deep experience in private fund accounting and fundraising, led organizational growth initiatives and crafted best practices for portfolio investment governance. Prior to his time in the private equity industry, Mike spent 15 years as a commercial banker structuring complex credit facilities and developing a strong background in treasury and cash management. He earned a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Mike is a registered Certified Public Accountant.
