Andy is actively involved with Misericordia, a Chicago organization supporting persons with developmental disabilities. He also serves on the board of Cara, a Chicago non-profit helping to break the cycle of homelessness. Andy is a licensed managing real estate broker in Illinois.

In addition, Mike serves as Chief Compliance Officer, leading Sterling Bay’s registered investment adviser compliance program. During his time at Sterling Bay, Mike has instituted all fund operation processes and controls, created and enhanced the corporate accounting function, created and led all financial planning and analyses initiatives, and enhanced the property accounting function leading to a Statement of Controls (SOC-1) certification. Mike has led the operations and accounting of private funds for 20 years. Prior to joining Sterling Bay in 2014, he spent over 16 years as the Chief Financial Officer of leading private equity firms including Riordan, Lewis & Haden in Los Angeles and Code, Hennessy & Simmons in Chicago. In that time, Mike transformed back office operations, supported strong growth in assets under management, developed deep experience in private fund accounting and fundraising, led organizational growth initiatives and crafted best practices for portfolio investment governance. Prior to his time in the private equity industry, Mike spent 15 years as a commercial banker structuring complex credit facilities and developing a strong background in treasury and cash management. He earned a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Mike is a registered Certified Public Accountant.
