Strada Education Network Leadership

Dr. Michelle R. Weise is the author of Long-Life Learning: Preparing for Jobs that Don’t Even Exist Yet. Thinkers50 named her one of 30 management and leadership thinkers in the world to watch in 2021. She is a senior advisor at Imaginable Futures, a venture of The Omidyar Group. Dr. Weise’s work over the last decade has concentrated on preparing working-age adults for the jobs of today and tomorrow. She was the chief innovation officer of Strada Education Network as well as Southern New Hampshire University. With Clayton Christensen, she coauthored Hire Education: Mastery, Modularization, and the Workforce Revolution (2014) while leading the higher education practice at Christensen’s Institute for Disruptive Innovation.

Dr. Weise also advises BrightHive, Hitch, the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP), the SkillUp Coalition, Strategic Education Inc.’s HIRE board, MIT SOLVE, Village Capital, Western Governors University Teachers College, Clayton Christensen Institute Social Capital R&D Project, and World Education’s Personal and Workplace Success Skills Library. She has also served as a commissioner for Massachusetts Governor Baker’s Commission on Digital Innovation and Lifelong Learning, Harvard University’s Task Force on Skills and Employability, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences’ Commission on the Future of Undergraduate Education.

Her commentaries on redesigning higher education and developing more innovative workforce and talent pipeline strategies have been featured in The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Harvard Business Review and on PBSNewshour.

Dr. Weise is a former Fulbright Scholar and graduate of Harvard and Stanford.

Pamela Tate is a President and CEO at Council for Adult and Experiential Learning and Chief National Partnerships Officer at Strada Education Network and is based in Oak Park, Illinois. She attended University of Illinois Urbana Champaign between 1964 and 1974 and University of Pennsylvania.

A natural strategic thinker and creative problem solver with a solid track record of generating revenue growth in new markets, discovering new growth opportunities in existing markets, and launching new products and solutions. Proven track record of improving sales and driving growth in the education technology sector for US and international markets.

• Secured initial sales and pilots for an education technology startup, and developed key relationships with investment partners, culminating in a successful Series A investment in 1Q 2015.

• Led international sales organization back to double-digit growth with existing, mature product within 12 months.

• Led new growth initiative into an adjacent market, reversing previous sales decline in traditional channels and posting first consecutive 3 quarter growth period in previous 12 quarters.

• Led push for new product development in adjacent market, leading to new channel in blue ocean sales environment that contributed over 5% of total sales volume in first year of release.

• Successfully started and ran management consulting firm serving education clients, growing from startup to $3.5M in annual revenue in 18 months.

She has worked as Customer Service at Osram Sylvania. Susan attended ITT Business Institute between 1984 and 1985.

Terry Holloway are a Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Strada Education Network and are based in Indianapolis Indiana Area. They have worked as Enterprise HR Business Partner at FORD MOTOR CO; Staff VP, Talent Management and Human Resources at Anthem; and Vice President, Human Resources at SLM CORP. Terry attended Evangel University and Purdue University.

Thomas Ertel is a Chief Accounting Officer at Strada Education Network and is based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
