Robert Samuel Langer, Jr. FREng (born August 29, 1948) is an American chemical engineer, scientist, entrepreneur, inventor and one of the twelve Institute Professors at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Scott Kellogg has worked in the medical device / life-science industry for 30 years and is currently the CEO at Suono Bio. Suono Bio is leveraging ultrasound to target the delivery of therapeutic compounds to the GI tract. Previously, Scott was SVP in charge of medical devices (regulatory / clinical ops / quality) at Akili Interactive Labs, Inc. Akili developed the first therapeutic mobile apps where remotely downloaded software directly provides neuro-stimulation in a closed-loop and adaptive manner through an engaging video gaming experience. Scott led the design and execution of Akili's clinical trials, the successful submission and FDA clearance of Akili's de novo application for a pediatric ADHD treatment, and the CE certification. Prior to joining Akili, he was an integral member of the founding teams at Follica Bio, Afferent, Corp., Sontra Medical, Inc., and UltraCision, Inc. (now J&J), where he served as the Vice President of Business Operations, Vice President of Product Development, Vice President of R&D, and Director of Engineering. In these leadership roles, Scott was focused on developing first-in-kind medical technology. The technologies included digital therapy, ultrasound surgical modalities, transdermal analyte detection, point-of-care diagnostics, transdermal drug delivery, neuro-stimulation, and therapeutic drug/device combinations. Additionally, he served in engineering leadership roles at Mentor Medical, Inc. (now J&J) and Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc (J&J). His broad experience includes product development/engineering, regulatory strategy/oversight, clinical design/operations, GMP & QSR establishment/compliance, intellectual property, and business development/strategic partnerships.Scott Kellogg graduated with high honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BS in engineering and received his MS and MBA from Northeastern University. He has specific technical expertise in power ultrasound and is an inventor on many domestic and international patents and the lead inventor on key patents for the Harmonic Scalpel ($1B/year product). In 2004 he and his team were awarded Popular Science’s “Best of what’s new in health care.”
