What You'll Do Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team • Cultivate a guest-first culture, ensuring every interaction is welcoming and efficient • Mentor and support Shift Managers and team members through training and coaching • Empower teams by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and leading by example • Foster open communication and collaboration across all shifts Support Operational Excellence • Assist in executing store-level strategies to drive sales, guest satisfaction, and profitability • Monitor and manage inventory levels, vendor relationships, and cash control • Drive promotional execution, ensure food service compliance, and elevate the in-store experience • Ensure the store is clean, stocked, and aligned with RaceTrac brand standards Champion Food Safety & Compliance • Conduct regular food quality checks and coach the team on food safety standards • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies • Maintain and organize required documentation for audits or inspections Drive Results Through Collaboration • Analyze reports, identify trends, and take action to improve store performance • Support team scheduling and staffing needs in coordination with the General Manager • Provide performance feedback and help drive accountability across the team What We're Looking For • 3-5 years of experience in retail, food service, or restaurant leadership • 1+ year of management experience preferred • Strong coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills • Experience in high-volume, guest-focused environments • Ability to read and act on business metrics such as P&L, labor, and sales Must Haves for This Role • High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed • Willing to obtain and maintain food handler and alcohol server permits (if required) Fueled by Growth, Driven by You At RaceTrac, our people make the difference. Supervises and monitors adherence to all safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations. Participates in daily store operational activities as needed: Rings up guests on cash register and balances cash and inventory transactions Ensures the store is clean and well maintained Stocks shelves and coolers and takes inventory on shelf items Receives vendor deliveries Orders inventory and supplies Possesses the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job, with no or infrequent breaks. Guest Greets and interacts with new and regular guests in a genuine manner and suggest products that complement purchase to enhance guest experience. Provides prompt, efficient and courteous service and engages in conflict management when needed. Fosters positive and professional relationships with co-workers and guests, communicates respectfully, and maintains a consistent team-oriented attitude. Addresses any guest concerns on designated shifts. Profit Assists in control of inventory and the flow/distribution of materials, merchandise and supplies. Works with the General Manager to determine the type and quantity of merchandise to be bought, stocked and sold. People Sets a leading example of RaceTrac's Core Values, Leadership Qualities and the RaceTrac Way to entire team. Supports the General Manager in managing the store operation. Directs, plans and apportions the work of store team members on designated shifts. Supervises, coaches, trains and develops store team members. Provides feedback on employee performance and development to the General Manager.
