The Interventional Radiology Tech is responsible for performing angiographic/interventional procedures by assisting in the scrub role and the imaging component of all procedures. Supports team by monitoring and entering procedure data in the GE hemodynamic system.
This position is the leading technical expert on all interventional procedures and assists in creating protocols for complicated technical aspects of the scrub role. Assists manager with equipment selection and maintenance and ensures adequate supplies are stocked. Assists with QA measures and data collection. It requires on-call status with a rotating basis to ensure coverage for specialized exams (
i.e.,
Angiography, etc.) during off-hours. The Interventional Radiology Technologist is expected to demonstrate leadership as well as technical expertise.
Position Requirements:
Graduate of an approved radiological technology approved school.
Registered ARRT and IDNS
CPR & ACLS required..
RCIS preferred
Able to take call with response time of 30 mins. Able to function in emergency situations.
Competent in EKG, hemodynamic monitoring, and high alert medications.
$34.78 - $53.90 Hourly

The X-Ray Tech will cross-train and assist in prepping procedure room and assisting in post-op as needed
Greet each patient, verify identity at each encounter, explain procedures to be performed, and address patient questions and concerns in a kind and caring manner
Prepare and position the patient for diagnostic imaging procedures
Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
Ensure compliance with approved radiology techniques and all company policies and procedures
Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed
Observe safety and security procedures; promote a safe and pleasant work environment
Maintains supplies, cleans rooms and equipment, and stocks exam rooms.
Notifies supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
Current licensure by the State of Illinois (IEMA) Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Weekday, Weekend and Holiday work availability

X-Ray Technologist - $10,000 sign on bonus

Work Schedule 100% FTE position. Five 8-hour shifts. 2:00pm -10:30 pm. every 3rd weekend 2p-1030p, rotating holidays. You may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus, you will work at Swedish American hospital. At UW Health in northern Illinois, you will have :

Qualifications
Completed an accredited radiologic technology program, a recognized military radiologic technologist training program, or possess two years of related clinical experience in a military setting. Required
Work Experience
Experience as a hospital radiographer. Preferred
Previous healthcare experience (clinical training during Rad Tech program will count as experience). Required

Licenses & Certifications
Certification by ARRT in Radiology. Required
Current license from IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency). Required
CPR certification required within three (3) months of hire. Required
