Responsibilities
The role involves supporting ICOR and OMB Circular A-123 testing efforts, with a focus on enhancing the effectiveness of clients' finance organizations. Responsibilities include assisting in audit remediation activities by developing and updating process documentation such as narratives and flowcharts, and implementing corrective action plans to address identified findings. The position also entails performing recurring internal control testing, including the design and execution of Manager's Internal Control Programs (e.g., Risk Manager's Internal Control Program). Additionally, the role supports financial analysis and reporting by reviewing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and interpreting audit report results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline
* 3+ years of experience performing financial statement audits, audit readiness services or audit remediation and sustainment services within the DoD or another Federal Government Agency or department
* Familiarity with DoD/Army Financial Management practices and systems

Legacy cost modeling in this context refers to programs at or beyond Initial Operating Capability plus five years. Federal law requires such programs to have Operation & Support (O&S) cost estimates for the life of the program, updated annually. Federal law further mandates sustainment reviews for these programs every five years, requiring independent cost estimates in support of those reviews. The annual legacy Operation & Support (O&S) cost estimates will serve as a starting point for other more detailed cost analyses such as independent cost estimates, trade studies, divestiture analysis, force structure analyses and comparisons to follow-on or new weapon systems etc. The model support effort will also incorporate new (non-legacy) cost estimates from other analysts into a single output file that will provide a long-term picture of Department of the Air Force (DAF) sustainment resource requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
