    Atlanta Technical College (ATC), a state agency is currently seeking applicants to fill the full-time HR Generalist position, in the Office of Human Resources. This position will be located on ATC's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta. Duties/Responsibilities: * Serves as an Advanced Recruiter, prepares and posts vacancies and screen applications; manage vacancies related to assigned divisions. * Processes personnel transactions in TeamWorks HCM, which will include hire, transfer in/out, promotion, separation, retirement, salary supplements, salary increase/decrease, and position actions * Serves as a Time and Labor central administrator by enrolling time reporters, updating schedules, approving/modifying/auditing time entries, as needed. * Coordinates, reviews, and makes determinations on requests for leave under FMLA; * Processes requests related to Workers' Compensation and works with the employee and supervisor to ensure all items have been submitted to the State Board. * Assists with the record management function including maintenance, retention, transfer, and disposition of personnel records and files and maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. * Performs periodic audits of HR related items including files and records to ensure compliance based on Federal and State regulations. * Assists with scheduling interviews and preparing documents for interviews when requested. * Performs and completes tasks and assignments associated with personnel support functions for the Office of Human Resources, which may include completing verifications of employment, reference checks, assisting with managing the HR inbox and related tasks. * Draft and maintain reports related to vacancies, payroll, ACA, AAP new hires, and terminations. * Provides information and advice to employees, supervisors and managers regarding minor day-to-day employee/manager relations issues and HR policies, practices and regulations, to include Federal and State employment laws; * Acts as liaison between human resources and the payroll department. * Provides outstanding customer serve to internal and external customers of the Office of Human Resources; * Coordinates all employee background checks, drug testing, MVR, and receives and processes E-Verify. * Conducts New Employee Orientation and New Hire Pre-Onboarding Orientation. * Conduct supervisory and performance management trainings * Maintain the e-Performance Management process in TeamWorks HCM to include creating templates, cancelling/transferring documents. * Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an area related to assignment and two (2) years of full-time experience in position directly related to the performance of the job. Central State Hospital (CSH) is in Milledgeville, the lake country of central Georgia and is Georgia's antebellum capital. CSH is approximately 2 hours from Atlanta, 2 hours and 30 minutes from Savannah and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Augusta. /Responsibilities: This person will be the First-Level of contact and resource for Employee Relations (ER) issues. Offers basic to advanced level ER assistance and support to employees, managers and supervisors. * May represent HR in meetings or on Committees.
