Lead/Coach Junior DBAs in technology aspect(ex. Oracle / SQL Server internals, RAC, RMAN, Grid Control and Data Guard) to achieve team goals.

Establish standards, policies and processes to leverage best practices in the operation of the database teams.
Participate in design and application review sessions, guide development and architecture teams on delivering highly available and scalable solutions.
Guide team members on troubleshooting shell scripts, SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
Expert in Oracle / SQL Server Database Administration, installation/migration, backup/recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, trouble shooting, code optimization, capacity planning.
Provide expert knowledge on the assigned applications.
Guide Enterprise security team on defining best security policies and procedures for the databases.
Understand server clustering techniques and the impact on database configuration and performance.
Minimal functional and technical requirements:
Five to ten years in an Experienced in IBM-AIX, HP-UX and Sun Solaris environment to deploy and configure Oracle Databases and Optim requiredapplication
Experienced Five to ten years as a database administrator working with Oracle and SQL Server including Oracle RAC and Data Guard to administer and maintain multi-terabyte databases supporting Highly Transactional and Data Warehouse applications

Performs a wide variety of very complex assignments with a high degree of independence from supervision, but keeps the supervisor advised of only the most critical issues. Provides support to first level maintenance activities for assigned NAS enterprise services and infrastructure, including AWOS Data Acquisition System (ADAS)/RASP, National Airspace Data Interchange Network (NADIN), Weather Message Switching Center Replacement (WMSCR), Bandwidth Manager (BWM), Aeronautical Telecommunication Network Message Handling System (AMHS), SWIM Flight Data Publication Service (SFDPS) and Integrated Enterprise Service Platform (IESP), along with other systems.
The Systems Performance Specialist (SPS) carries out work in accordance with overall plans and objectives of the organization, resolving problems as they arise and making adjustments as necessary to deal with unanticipated situations and organization needs. Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to protect the integrity of all components and/or systems and to provide NAS service delivery. Demonstrates the ability to interpret, select and apply principles and practices related to the knowledge of information technology, scientific and engineering fields.
Analyzes enterprises systems and services, performs anomaly investigation, and escalates unresolved complex problems to the Operational Support, AJW-1 organization. Acts as a liaison to the NextGen Office and Program Management Office (PMO) in defining Enterprise needs/requirements to acquisition programs.
Serves as primary support liaison between the NEMC Operations Specialists and the AJW-17 national engineering organization. Supports development and updates to the triage processes for interfacing and escalating issues with the national engineering organizations, i.e., ADAS/RASP, NADIN, WMSCR, BWM, AMHS, SFDPS and IESP.
Supports periodic maintenance activities as needed for NADIN/AMHS, WMSCR/ADAS, IESP BWM, and SFDPS which includes account verification, audit preparation, password, and domain switch and modem callback tasks.
Conducts routine tasks, such as daily review of log files, running scripts to update PCs, capturing and sending files and logs to requesting organizations, e.g. NADIN files to the Tech Center and BWM files to the program office, etc. Supports Volatile Meteorological (VOLMET) system text data to voice activities.
Supports the implementation of modifications, which includes reviewing and making recommendations on signing the Letters of Authorizations (LOAs). Supports coordination of System Support Modification/System Technical Release (SSM/STR) implementation and other new systems and services.
Participates in testing efforts with a variety of operational facilities, including the NEMC. Installs, repairs, fabricates, modifies, and maintains legacy NEMC systems and equipment.
Develops and/or assists with technical documentation and information and participates in a variety of technical working groups.
Provides training, mentoring, guidance and advice to FAA employees, contractors and other organizations. Ensures customer service is timely, professional and receives the maximum consideration on all aspects of job performance.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with internal/external personnel and co-workers with cooperation, collaboration, trust, and respect. Coordinates and works with Team Leads, contractors, and vendors in support of network and equipment problems. Supports Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAIs) as needed.
Participates in the development of a NASEO Concept of Operations (ConOps) which defines organizational responsibilities for monitoring, maintaining and supporting the new system/services.
Maintains knowledge of FAA and ICAO policies, procedures, and regulations regarding telecommunications and disseminates information on any changes to NEMC operating parameters as appropriate.

Qualifications

The ATSS (Team Lead) serves as a technical expert and focal point for highly complex and challenging activities. Provides leadership for technical activities associating with critical systems of the National Airspace System (NAS).
Leads and guides a team of specialists on coordinating efforts affecting operationally critical systems of the NAS through ATO Technical Operations Headquarters and Field Offices, ATO Service Areas, and external stakeholders. Applies experience and expert technical knowledge of NAS modernization to develop new concepts, systems, or innovative approaches, and to identify and resolve complex issues that often cross-organizational boundaries. Develops innovative approaches to attain organizational objectives and optimize the use of resources. Oversees NAS modernization initiatives, identifies, procures, distributes and tracks resources needed to accomplish large work activities. Works independently.
Works with customers at high internal and external organizational levels to the FAA to resolve complex issues to insure the integrity of the NAS. Represent the FAA as a senior technical authority for major agency activities, emerging technologies and customer concerns.
Coordinates with multiple air traffic, maintenance control center, and other entities to shut down and restore facilities, systems, and services to prevent activities from disrupting air traffic operations. Quickly resolves restoration problems with minimal impact to the NAS.
Performs quality control measures to insure efficiency of operations. Provides expert guidance and instruction to address diverse, complex issues that often cross multiple projects, programs, or functional areas. Develops plans, techniques, processes and policies to address current or anticipated problems and issues. Work is typically reviewed for success in achieving desired results.
The NAS Security & Enterprise Operations (NASEO) maintains a global 24/7 situational awareness of the NAS infrastructure and services; therefore, to meet operational requirements, the employee will be required to work or must be available to work a 24/7 rotating shift.
This position requires a Secret level security clearance and is a testing designated position.

Position Summary
The GEMA/HS All-Hazards Information Systems Architect and Project Manager is a key position within the State Operations Center (SOC) and Georgia State Warning Point (SWP). The role has demanding responsibilities with critical requirements in operations support, readiness, and incident support across all hazards.
This position plans, designs, integrates, and sustains mission-critical information and communications capabilities that enable statewide situational awareness, coordination, and decision support. The role leads architecture, requirements management, integration, governance, and operational support for the agency's Common Operating Picture (COP) and related platforms. Under broad supervision, the position manages implementation and upgrade projects through the full life cycle: discovery, definition, approval, acquisition, implementation, evaluation, acceptance, and sustainment.
