General Responsibilities:
With program enrollment maximized in Energy Systems Technology the program has opened additional labs. This position will aid in lab safety, facilitation of student assistance and achievement of course outcomes. In addition, this position will participate in the development of additional educational trainers required to meet student needs in future quarters.
Essential Functions:
Lab Assistant
* Assisting students achieve success in the Lab setting, while ensuring appropriate, and safe operations of training equipment.
Lab Preventative Maintenance
* Inspecting and Maintaining lab training equipment to ensure operability, and safe conditions for students.
Lab Development
* Assembling and/or moving educational trainers, assisting in upgrades and ensuring enough trainers are available and operable for lab students, in addition to duties as assigned.
Lab Prep
* Preparing the educational lab environment prior to lab operations, including housekeeping, consumable accountability, and duties as assigned.
* Ability to recognize the value of cultural, ethnic, gender and other individual differences in people.
* Ability to build constructive working relationships characterized by a high level of acceptance, cooperation and mutual respect.
Required Qualifications:

This part-time temporary position (up to 17-hours per week) is located at the Walla Walla Campus.
Work is performed almost exclusively in a classroom and lab environment. Hazard of electric shock, lock out tagout, and overhead hazards. Trade tools, machinery and equipment will be utilized. Daily interactions with students and instructors.

ProSidian Seeks a TechnicalAssistant (General Clerk III) - HAB | Richland, WA - GSSC (Full-Time) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford - SCA Code: 01113. This service supports Government, Public Sector and Infrastructure Sector clients and ProSidian Team Members work as part of the Engagement Team Cadre to provide Hanford Advisory Board (HAB or Board) Facilitation Support and OBO The Department of Energy, Richland Operations Office. These general support services support The HAB, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management Site Specific Advisory Board. The HAB is a broadly representative body consisting of a balanced mix of diverse interests that are affected by Hanford environmental restoration and waste management issues.
There are 32 board members (each with one to two alternates) from Washington, Oregon and Idaho representing local and regional interests. The Board was created in 1994 by the DOE, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington State Department of Ecology (Tri-Party Agreement [TPA] agencies) to advise agencies on selected major policy issues related to Hanford cleanup. The TPA, or Hanford Federal Facility Agreement and Consent Order, provides a cleanup schedule to bring the Hanford Site into compliance with state and federal environmental laws.
The Department of Energy, Richland Operations Office, is in need of general support services to support the Hanford Advisory Board for six issue-based standing committees: 1) Executive Issues Committee; 2) Tank Waste; 3) River & Plateau; 4) Health, Safety, & Environmental Protection; 5) Budgets & Contracts; and 6) Public Involvement and Communications. Each of the committees may meet up to twice per fiscal year quarter (i.e. around 24 total meetings per year) dependent on the required workload of the HAB. Joint committee meetings may be held for cross-cutting topics.
The ProSidian Engagement Team is responsible for labor, supplies, equipment, all logistics for meeting space, meeting execution/administration, recordkeeping, and other activities needed to facilitate interaction among the Tri-Party Agreement (TPA) agencies and members of the Board. Team ProSidian provides these services in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), the Environmental Management (EM) Charter and the HAB Operating Ground Rules. Team ProSidian coordinates at least weekly with DOE, specifically the DOE Deputy Designated Federal Officer and the DOE Federal Coordinator. The key objective is to provide facilitation and general support services to the DOE in its mission with the HAB, which is for the Board to provide informed recommendations and advice on selected major policy issues.
SUPPORT | PARTICIPATE/ASSIST W/ RESPONSIBILITY FOR MEETING SCHEDULES, AGENDAS, AND WORK PLANS: Establish and distribute all HAB meeting schedules, agendas, and work plans in consultation with the DOE HAB Coordinator(s) or their delegate, Washington State Department of Ecology and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency local representatives HAB Chairperson, and HAB Executive Issues Committee.
SUPPORT | PARTICIPATE/ASSIST W/ RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMMITTEE AND BOARD MEETING AGENDAS: Agendas: Working with the DOE Hanford Site Deputy Designated Federal Officer, DOE Federal Coordinator, Ecology and EPA agency representatives, and the HAB to ensure committee and Board agenda topics are included in the agenda in a timely manner and are acceptable to the three agencies prior to distribution. • Final, detailed agendas should be provided 10 days prior to HAB committee and full Board meetings.
SUPPORT | PARTICIPATE/ASSIST W/ RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMMUNICATIONS WITH AGENCY REPRESENTATIVES: Maintain open, ongoing and effective communications with agency representatives, including the DOE Federal Coordinator(s), HAB leadership, members and issue managers.
SUPPORT | PARTICIPATE/ASSIST W/ RESPONSIBILITY FOR HAB ANNUAL REPORTS: Develop and distribute the HAB Annual Report as requested by DOE Federal Coordinator. The Facilitation Contractor shall provide DOE with a digital copy of the HAB Annual Report.
SUPPORT | PARTICIPATE/ASSIST W/ RESPONSIBILITY FOR HAB/PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT SURVEY: Assist with Ecology's Annual HAB/Public Involvement Survey by conducting the survey and provide survey results to the Federal Coordinator.
SUPPORT | PARTICIPATE/ASSIST W/ RESPONSIBILITY FOR HAB LIBRARY PER FACA GUIDELINES: Maintain a HAB library per FACA guidelines. The HAB Library is a repository of HAB related information maintained by The ProSidian Engagement Team. It is not a public information repository. Description of Responsibilities

* Assist with facilitating and coordinating state and federal assessments with appropriate personnel. This includes managing testing platforms such as Washington Comprehensive Assessment Program portal, testing materials, and troubleshooting regarding assessments delivered electronically.

Required Qualifications
* BA/BS from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in information technology, computer science or related field with a minimum of two (2) years' work experience.

* Experience with VLANs, routing, firewalls, and subnetting required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:
* Perform all phases of clinical and pre-clinical animal studies associated with the discovery and/or development of animal health products.
* Sets up and performs a variety of animal activities, including husbandry, sample collection, processing analysis, data handling, record keeping, and laboratory and instrument maintenance in accordance with applicable Animal Welfare and GXP policies.
* Carries out duties according to protocol and applicable SOPs. Assist with all aspects of study execution including but not limited to: in-vivo study protocol review; animal procurement; biological sample collection and data collection in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Lead and manage study execution.
* Clean and disinfect animal housing units and rooms.
* Utilizes knowledge of how functional areas are used and maintained in the completion of research protocols.
* Responsible for all steps of room maintenance related to studies, with priority on cleaning and disinfecting.
* Communicate with and assists managers and researchers and supports the clinical veterinarians with all aspects of veterinary care.
* Helps onboard new employees and serve as a mentor.
* Provide training in standard animal procedures which may include handling, dosing, biological sampling, end of study, necropsy, and biosecurity.
* Identify and implement process improvements and share knowledge and expertise with others in work group.

Job Description
Provide the Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Compliance Division (ECD) at the Hanford Site (Richland Operations Office and the Office of River Protection) Technical and Regulatory Support from one qualified full-time general support services contractor. The Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist will have responsibility for execution of the itemized work scope below:
Review permit and environmental compliance program documents and provide technical and regulatory recommendations to the ECD Director.
Provide consulting and strategic recommendations to the ECD Director based upon the review of documents, coordination of reviews, developments of comments, assistance to as realized tasks, walk-downs, meeting attendance with regulatory agencies, consolidation of comments for DOE Hanford submittal to the Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist, as well as comment resolution as needed.
The Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist may also be required to attend meetings with the DOE project/program organizations and regulatory agencies (Washington State Department of Ecology and Washington State Department of Health, and US Environmental Protection Agency) along with working meetings and technical workshops.
A major focus area for this task order will be providing technical and regulatory reviews as needed to formulate and implement environmental and regulatory recommendations and effective strategies for waste site and groundwater remediation, permitting and environmental compliance program including reviews of contract deliverables related to these activities.
Other task order activities include:
Supporting regulatory inspections for all DOE Hanford programs/projects, involving review of responses to inspection reports for responsiveness, accuracy, and compliance with the regulations. Interacting with the environmental regulators may also be part of this Task.
Conducting regulatory analysis on the applicability, ability to implement, and impacts of environmental regulations, including new and proposed regulations.
Attendance at weekly ECD meetings, contractor interface meetings, as directed by the ECD Director, meetings related to document reviews, and other meetings (such as design reviews), as assigned by the task monitor.
Support documentation of ECD oversight activities into the contractor assurance systems and develop oversight templates for routine actions.
Work with the ECD Director to create a strategic electronic binder of regulatory letters and summary of impacts to the DOE Hanford mission - and work in a business sensitive environment of impacts to the mission.
In addition, Quality Assurance requirements as specified in ESQ-OA-DI-02 will apply, and the activities will come under the Integrated Assessment Process.

An Animal Research Technician working with the Biocontainment Livestock Team and supporting a Biocontainment and BioPharma Research environment at the Zoetis Richland, Michigan site. Primary species of responsibility are cattle and swine but may also include small ruminants. Must properly use and maintain all necessary equipment and follow proper techniques as determined by departmental SOPs and institutional Policies.
Responsibilities:
Perform all phases of animal experiments associated with the discovery and/or development of animal health products.
Sets up and performs a variety of animal activities, including husbandry, sample collection, processing analysis, data handling, record keeping, and laboratory and instrument maintenance in accordance with applicable Animal Welfare and GXP policies.
Carries out duties according to protocol and applicable SOPs. Assist with all aspects of study execution including but not limited to: in-vivo study protocol review; animal procurement; biological sample collection and data collection in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Clean and disinfect penning and rooms.
Utilizes knowledge of how functional areas are used and maintained in the completion of research protocols.
Responsible for all steps of room maintenance related to studies, with priority on cleaning and disinfecting.
Communicate with and assists managers and researchers and supports the clinical veterinarians with all aspects of veterinary care.
Helps onboard new employees and serve as a mentor.
Provide training in standard animal procedures which may include handling, dosing, biological sampling, euthanasia, necropsy and biosecurity.
Identify and implement process improvements and share knowledge and expertise with others in work group.
Operate a variety of equipment, including, but not limited to, powered lift trucks, farm vehicles, and animal handling equipment.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Flexibility, enthusiasm and adaptability within the work environment, and a track record of successfully working in a fast-paced setting involving multiple projects and tasks.
Demonstrated math and reading comprehension required.

Veterinary technician license/certification
Previous experience in an animal research setting
Previous experience working with infectious disease models in a biocontainment and or biopharma facility.
Basic computer skills including navigating the internet and communicating via email.
Physical Position Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 Ibs routinely.
Weekend and holiday work expected and performed on rotation.
Ability to withstand frequent twisting and bending throughout the day.
Must be able and willing to start work as early as 4:30am as appropriate.
