As a Technical Specialist, you'll be the go-to expert, delivering critical technical and safety guidance to our Electrical Engineering & Services (EESS) field teams. You'll play a key role in driving EESS's vision of zero workplace injuries and incidents, shaping a culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence across the organization. **What you'll do:**
- Provide direct technical input to employees and leaders throughout the division regarding Hazardous Energy Control and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) planning. Our Technical reviews occur in advance of project commencement for scheduled work, in real time for work performed on demand and periodically for auditing purposes.
- Review and approve LOTO plans prepared by others.
- Instruct in-person Hazardous Energy Control courses at various training facilities.
- Perform practical examinations, interviews, and ad hoc training to determine qualified electrical worker competency of field staff.
- Support eLearning and virtual reality development for Hazardous Energy Control and LOTO.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical field service, specifically with end user electrical distribution equipment such as switchgear, motor control centers, transformers and power electronic equipment including work such as preventative maintenance, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and installation.

A major focus area for this task order will be providing technical and regulatory reviews as needed to formulate and implement environmental and regulatory recommendations and effective strategies for waste site and groundwater remediation, permitting and environmental compliance program including reviews of contract deliverables related to these activities.
Other task order activities include:
Supporting regulatory inspections for all DOE Hanford programs/projects, involving review of responses to inspection reports for responsiveness, accuracy, and compliance with the regulations. Interacting with the environmental regulators may also be part of this Task.
Conducting regulatory analysis on the applicability, ability to implement, and impacts of environmental regulations, including new and proposed regulations.
Attendance at weekly ECD meetings, contractor interface meetings, as directed by the ECD Director, meetings related to document reviews, and other meetings (such as design reviews), as assigned by the task monitor.
Support documentation of ECD oversight activities into the contractor assurance systems and develop oversight templates for routine actions.
Work with the ECD Director to create a strategic electronic binder of regulatory letters and summary of impacts to the DOE Hanford mission - and work in a business sensitive environment of impacts to the mission.
In addition, Quality Assurance requirements as specified in ESQ-OA-DI-02 will apply, and the activities will come under the Integrated Assessment Process.
SCOPE DELIVERABLES
Assessments and reports on a weekly or as-needed basis.
Participate in walk-downs, meeting attendance with DOE, contractors and regulatory agencies.
Periodic reports of work overseen and any compliance deviations.
Participate in contract transition and closeout teams as required.

The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site requires general support services for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP). WTP requests one (1) full-time equivalent (FTE) general support contractor (1920 labor hours) to provide support in the following areas:
· Provide oversight of contractor system design review program.
· Provide oversight of maintenance and work control processes.
· Provide support to WTP Engineering Division.
· Assist the Nuclear Services Division (NSD) during DOE's review and comment resolution of the Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA) and Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) development and revisions performed by the contractor.
· Coordinate system design reviews for the WTP HLW systems.
· Assist HLW Federal Project Director in the assessment of alternative tank waste treatment approaches (including DFHLW configuration).
· Assist the Hanford Interface Management Team with Interface Control Document (ICD).
· Coordinate to issue assessment and resolution with ORP engineering, regulatory, and other supporting staff.
· Participate in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), WTP High Level Waste (HLW) assessment progress and Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) configurations.
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Contractor shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Contractor employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
